They were freshmen competing against more than 100 older high school students in their category, and the projector to show the video game they created didn't work, but these precocious Phenix City teens persever.

You've every reason to be proud of your grandson Peyton's achievements, together with his two class mates, Carrie. Congrats on the great teamwork, wonderful presentation, exciting Gulag game and winning third prize with it all.

Don't be sorry! You have EVERY right to be proud. And giddy.

Anyone who has a blog that can use flash can embed this game by going to http://cfagulag.weebly.com/source-code.html and copying the embed code. I don't have a blog of my own but at least I was able to see one page of the gorgeous graphics.

I'm so glad you shared this Carrie what a nice looking young man and appears he has some good potential in the new technology of the day. In fact what a nice team these boys were for each other, making it work for all of them.

On Fridays I bring my granddaughter to the library and there is always something new and interesting that is shared in this free class. The woman is so good with the children and she had one Friday that showed a site where one could go and make their own games there and post them. As it didn't seem to spark a big enough attention in my granddaughter I didn't pursue it any further. However she sure loved the hands on making her own robot out of discarded electronics that no longer worked. So each has their talents.

I wish Peyton well and being a proud grandmother myself - share away Carrie. Loved it!
