Congress wants to limit your access to research--even though your tax dollars paid for it. If this bill passes, you'll learn only what mainstream medicine wishes you to know. Action Alert!

W imposed or tried to impose similar restrictions on public access across a broad range of scientific materials.
Of Big Pharma and the Food "Industry" have been pushing things like anti-labling Veggie Hate Crimes bills at all levels of government forever. These restrictions on what we put into and do with our own bodies are the most fundamental kind of totalitarianism.

Occurs to me, in a sense, we're all Maccabees now.

Thanks, Nancy.

Signed, although "the devil's always in the details." Seems like Congress always takes it upon themselves to stuff what they want in the bill before it's finalized. They like to "water things down" and "pork things up." Hope we can stay updated on this.

How ridiculous is it that our own Elected Congress would make moves to keep us ignorant by depriving us access to free information? At a time when a college education is pretty much eclipsed for the majority of the working class due to cost, they choose to impose this?? How ludicrous! How self-serving for the rich powers that be to find yet another way to keep us down. It seems that the America middle class will soon be functioning at the same level as those in 3rd world countries. Can everybody say;"duh, wha' hapen?"

It just shows that we must all either spend our entire lives keeping an eagle-eye on our politicians, or we must join action groups that have members that do just that - we just don't seem to be able to trust them anywhere in the world! We must all keep alert and try and make them behave in our interests, not those of lobby-groups.

Thank you Nancy....

This is another effort to line the pockets of a corporation. The publishers want us to pay [and in this bad economy] for information we have already paid for.
This information is vital to our health and well being.
The other bill on the site to allow food suppliers/producers and supplement manufacturers/suppliers to at least refer us to scientific studies is well worth signing.

PMC: This is the archive: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/
(there is the link on the thread) I use it constantly. So please congress, do not bother with it! - We have all the right to be informed.

But, under same initials I found this!!! Good, interesting and IMPORTANT.
http://www.personalizedmedicinecoalition.org/about

And this: The reason for a personalized medicine?
http://pmc-at.com/medicine.htm

Check Webs!!!!!! We should have access to info and personalized medicine too! Take time and check webs! Cross post the petition please, It is very, very important!!!

And, if you like natural life, Foothill Plant Medicine Collective is under those initials too and it is a fresh breeze in the middle of this mess. Let me share with you: It is a locall Foothill community who recognizes plants as original medicine. They can teach us a lot: from growing potatoes to learn about medicinal plants. If you are near, they will give away seeds for culinary herbs at the seed exchange at Columbia Elementary (there were some numbers there next to school name - check with them ), in Columbia- Feb 11th and they will feature an immune support soup! - You can communicate with them for better info. I am far, I will ask for medicinal plant info and soup recipe!

signed. you know, they keep telling us we have to let guest workers into America as there are no people in America who know how to do these jobs ?? Why are there no people qualified for these jobs when we are supposed to have one of the better educational systems in the world ? Okay, let's keep dumbing them down even further. makes no sense to me at all.
