You folk realize that it will cost more if the "pink slime" is banned? Are you all sure you want to pay the higher cost of these School meals in your taxes? Seems everyone wants lower taxes! What is the Government to do?

Bottom line, you cannot have it both ways.

Sorry, typo, that Signed.

Cowboss....I have no children and I have been paying school taxes all my adult life. I have no problem paying for better education and better nutrition in schools. Feeding kids crap over time is dangerous and unacceptable. I guess you wouldn't have a problem feeding your child amonia laced slime and then they contract a disease or Lord forbid cancer from it? That is NOT acceptable to you, to me or to anyone else.

How does this plan help fight childhood obesity for the students trying to eat healthy based of guidelines about calories and fat?

Noted and signed with pleasure. How is is possible, with all the healthy food around, that this sh.. can be fed to children - who need to eat healthily? Jamie Oliver tried to introduce healthy meals into US schools - but it did not happen because of Government contracts given to purveyors of processed crap... and so it was dumped into the 'too hard' basket. At least in the British schools it worked.....the then Labour Government pledging 350million pounds to get nutritious meals into all schools........ that is about the only good thing the Blair Government did for Britain.

I recently read an article that described how the "by-products" that make up the pink slime are swept up off the slaughterhouse floor! If that doesn't make you want to vomit, I don't know what will! We cannot allow this chemical-laden garbage to be fed to our children!

Signed and noted! Thanks, Nancy!

The sorry shit isn't fit for human consumption. I wouldn't feed it to my dogs! Let the maternally incestuous bastards that make it and that profit from it and the us-effin'-da eat it - all of it. Let it be their entire diet - that and genetically engineered crops / fish / animals.....

We all pay taxes and when we had school meals we contributed towards them. A nutritious meal does not have to cost the earth. Governments are spending big time on armaments and aid abroad - well cut back on the spending in those areas and put money into healthy eating programmes for our Kids - they are the future.
