The agbiotech industry has quietly inserted a dangerous policy rider into the Agriculture Appropriations bill headed to the House floor in the next two days. Though wrapped in a "farmer-friendly" package, this "farmer assurance provision" is simply an in

Thanks for taking action to urge Congress to strike Monsanto's sneak attack on organic and non-GMO farmers from the 2013 Agriculture Appropriations bill.
I am anxiously awaiting the day when the evil ones at Monsanto are ROUNDED UP and charged with crimes against humanity. Thanks Nancy

Thank you for telling your House Representative to support the DeFazio amendment striking the "Monsanto provision" from the Ag Appropriations bill.

I have said this before, as humans we have been altering our food crops for thousands of years. We did that to increase food production and shared that knowledge with others, we also managed to do that without including poison in our food. Monsanto owns the seeds that were here before human beings, this crap must stop. We sat back complacently as BIG Agriculture took farms from families with manipulation from banks and now we sit and hope that they will not take our basic right to grow our own gardens.

Signed and noted with thanks. If the organic farmers and organic food producers were smart-they would make a big deal out of labeling their products since the gmo laced crap industries refuse to while also maintaining their pocket politicians fighting it tooth and nail with their continued "oh, it is safe" lies. I LOOK for organic labels and BUY items that are real organic foods. Kashi lost me to Cascadian Farm USDA certified Organic. Kashi did the all Natural ingredient bit which is misleading. They did at least "fess" up about it but not until asked point blank-not good. This weekend I am heading to the farmers market for organic fruit and vegetables. It may cost a bit more but at least it is actually good for human consumption and I would prefer to pay a little more for real food that doesn't pose health issues in the future than gmo crap crap that would.

Although we just had an election replacing Giffords with Ron Barber, (her former aide), site says my Congressional seat is vacant, but I sent it anyway and it seems to be accepted. Much thanks, Nancy!

Noted, signed, tweeted and shared. As I commented before, most of our politicans especially the Republicans ones vote with the corporations. Check their election donations; that's how they vote. so the only way to stop Monsanto is to get new politicans, and when they become corrupt, we get new ones again. We have to just keep on getting new ones because money corrupts, and corporations are people.
