War wounds come in many forms. Some service members are tragically injured with life-altering consequences. But perhaps most troubling are the invisible wounds -- those that are suffered silently and solitarily.

Noted and signed. I have a son-in-law currently in the Army. He has had to endure the sight of things no person should have to see. One of those was the suicide of his closest friend and fellow GI. For all that he has witnessed in the war zone, this incident at home hit hardest. As he readies for his next deployment, I hope he has gotten the help he and the other members of his platoon most certainly needed.

As we all hope he survives another deployment, we also hope he does not return with the same sense of hopelesness that took his friend.

Signed with thanks. Remember the "old" vets of the Viet Nam era who have yet to be offered any of the care available to current vets.

And it is disturbing that those who are pushing for a war in Iran are also voting not to provide the care and services needed by war vets returning to civilian life.......

done. These vets need all the help they can get-now and not later. When my brother came home from Viet Nam, there was nothing-and I think of all the men who fought in that "war"...ty Nancy

Many of our Viet Nam Veterans are now homeless and hungry.

They should have fled to Canada (maybe)?

NObody.. But NOBODY should EVER be put in a situation of hiavning to go to war to kill people. To get people to do it usually takes a lot of indoctrination from jingoistic politicians and loads of propoganda and when people come back from war and they come out of their indoctrinated state they have to live with the things they have done and seen and it is inhuman not to give them all the help they need. Governments should make this top priority, as it is they who have caused this horror and suffering, whilst they sit safely behind their desks. SO WRONG! Who on earth ever got the idea that war makes peace!!!!!!!

What have we humans learned over aeons past? Nothing - we still fight and kill one another. What is being done to these young men when they see the horrors of the killing fields?

I am against anyone joining any military branch, as killing and being harmed or killed is just unethical. However, once one does so, they must have access 24/7 to PTSD treatments and all other care that will help them!!!!! We need to rid this world of war, killing animals and people!
