Why is this Canadian company spending millions of dollars on developing the GE apple? It's all about the $120 million in profits they are projected to receive in the first ten years of bringing the GE apple to market.

My beautiful Washington State is the #1 apple producer in the US...and the thought of this franken fruit and it's genes coming over the border of our closest neighbors would be disasterous to the farmers here in a very short time !
