Please tell the Army Corps of Engineers and Environmental Protection Agency to stop these permits, to stand up for justice for local families, and to resist political pressure from coal company lobbyists.

To repeat:

OVER 500 mountains have been utterly destroyed, leveled by this technology.

Leaving only subsoil upon which little grows for decades, until slow regeneration of topsoil occurs. Coal removal results in additional toxicities.

Big Business thinks we shouldn't worry about the environment, because we won't be around long enough to see the total destruction, in the end.
We shouldn't worry about our future generations and their mental and physical health.

We should just mind our own business, allow Big Business to make all the money they can, and permit them to influence our elections, by contributing to corrupt government officials.

This attitude is so typical of our NOW generation. Take what you want, ignore the needs of others and don't stop until you have your fill.

If they want the coal so bad, they can dig shafts and drive remote control robots down to extract the coal, backfilling with tailings and combustion ash waste to minimise the environmental impact as the mine is emptied. Leaving the area as they found it should be a prime objective!

Another mountain top blown up and another river destroyed. How evil and done for the sake of mining coal that is destroying the planet from pollution. Are we on the right tract? No way and need to move on to clean energy and we can if allowed by the special interest who try to run our lives. Many outstanding individuals with great ideas that are crushed because the special interests want it their way. One day we will defeat them.

How can big business be so short sighted? I know that all they care about is the dollar, but long term surely they can make more money if they protect what we have. Not that I endorse big business and their money focussed ways, but any logic that keeps them from destroying the planet today in the hope that we can all have many tomorrows.
