Interesting. Our financial cliffs are due to our own making, and our own making will get us out. We are fortunate enough to have health insurance, however some local hospitals are saying they no longer accept it (when we have been told otherwise). I don't mind paying taxes (my salary is generated by tax dollars), but I wish all would pay a fair amount. If major corporations can get tax breaks, I should be able to as well.

Noted, unable to sign as not US resident. In the US as well as Canada I feel the very wealthy should pay more tax, but they always find loopholes.
