gladly signed/noted. "I am particularly surprised to see that the Rogue River-Siskiyou National Forest is contemplating 438 acres of old-growth logging to target wildlife habitat trees containing mistletoe and thousands of acres of "free thinning" in which the canopy of native forest stands will be greatly reduced."

In one of my biology classes(wild life) the professor lectured about the importance of old growth forests. This is home to some of the most medically important plants known. They only establish themselves in old growth forests.

The current drug treatment for breast cancer is from an old growth forest.

They are a unique niche within the deciduous forests. Not all are old growth infact very few.

Noted and signed. Thanks Nancy. We need to protect all of our old growth. At the rate they're cutting it down, we won't have any by the end of this decade.

We must be the only species in this world, that destroys the very things that keep us alive and healthy.
By and large, we are such a narcissistic society, that we don't appear to have concern for the future of our planet.
Our future generations, WHAT DO WE CARE?
