Tell Congress: Pass the Violence Against Women Act! ACTION US

It's good news that leaders in the new Congress, in both the House and Senate, just introduced VAWA again. Even better, the versions that have been introduced expand protections to communities who are especially vulnerable to sexual and domestic violence

I would personally prefer that we pass the ERA and women could stop this endless struggle of begging Congress or the state legislators to just do the right thing. This is just disgusting. Women will not be treated as equals until we Pass the ERA, then Congress and states would have no choice.

Get the VAWA passed for now.

Our Congressman, Geo Miller, Dem/CA, is backing this bill. It is time for the GOP to start helping women instead of the opposite. I cannot believe any women in her right mind would vote for any Republican, ever!

Mike Johanns of Nebraska says that he is "dedicated to protecting the sanctity of life." I guess that doesn't extend to women, since he voted against this act.

done. Isn't is mind boggling in this day and age that we need laws to protect women against violence? I thought that should be a "given".

"Thanks for signing!"

It appears that the Republican Party and the Catholic Church have much in common, and that's not a good thing.
