Lets see how you like being locked up, not being able to move or go anywhere. At least you'll be fed and have something to drink. I hope the food makes you sick. You deserve misery longer then a year.

Education and love! These are two elements that might have been missing from her life. There are NO excuses for animal abuse, but, I truly hope that she might have the opportunity to learn the error of her
ways while incarcerated.

I agree with you Pamela and I hope that counseling will also be available as I would really like her to come out rehabilitated if possible.

Poor creatures, but why did the neighbors wait untill the animals got to such a sad state before they reported this?
If this woman had been white, would she have gotten a prison sentence? Just asking...

I think she had the education---she was taking care of her own dogs and doing a fine job. She just didn't have the love. I think it said --it was her ex boyfriends dogs and he left them there. I think he should be in court also...

Carol........No excuses will do, no matter who the dogs belong to she could have done something if she did not want to care for them.
Al........For heaven sakes.....Keep race/color out of this. This about her treatment of the dogs not the color of her skin!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Marian.......There is something missing in this womans heart & soul for her to neglect these dogs. I doubt counseling will do all that much.........And, I sure hope she never has kids, for that is the next step in cruelty in case you are nor aware.

hopefully the case can be reopened within the year and possibly more time can be brought on. THE GOOD SIDE is that these were felony charges so she has a serious record, and has to let every employer know what a scumbag she is from here on out! :) YAY!!

I wish she had gotten way more time! Say the life expectancy of the dogs! at least. I also would say the same thing if this poor woman was white , blue green I don't care about that, I CARE FOR THE ANIMAL, I DONT LIKE PIT BULLS BUT I WOULD NEVER ABUSE ONE IF IT WERE IN MY CARE NOR HURT IT. I'M not a tree hugger as that would be my next thing someone might accuse me of so and I care for there cause and all that have to do with animals or people who cannot care for themselves. I hope sentences, NO I PRAY THAT, Sentences like this start happening all over our great Country and its about TIME.

Yahoo!!! Circuit Judge Phyllis Roiser, thank you for the jail sentence!

Success for the three animals rescued .... More cases should have this kind of success!
