I guess there'sa video showing the killing, I can't watch it, the article is enough for me. I just keep thinking when I see things like this, there must be a better way. And if there is, why isn't it pursued?

I just came here to post this and saw you already did, thanks for posting it.

In answer to Lars' question having to do with a better way to do it, there is a better way........don't eat animals or animal "byproducts" and therefor there is no need to do it at all.

The reasons for going vegan are many with the three main being (in whatever order you want):

1) Better for the Earth (huge amounts of wasted energy and pollution associated with raising animals to eat or wear)

2) Animals don't live a rotten life just for us to eat or wear.

3) Health (how many overweight vegans you ever see? How 'bout how many vegans you hear of with colon cancer?, etc.....)

GO vegan!
I saw footage like this in 1976 when I was 12-I will NEVER forget what I saw!! I can't watch the new footage...I can't take anymore. This is PURE EVIL and GREED. Plain and simple.
No wonder there is so much violence and hate in this world...
For those who do these evil acts-there IS karma, there is someone watching-good luck wiith that! You WILL pay.

I can't watch this either. I saw a short one on 20/20 and that was enough for me. How can anyone do this to these precious chicks and sleep at night.

Going Vegan would help, in many ways. I just don't see it happening for quite awhile yet. One of the main advantages would be in reducing green house affect gases, mostly due to factory farms, which in my opinion should be outlawed.
Sometimes I wonder if 'they' want ppl to get sick from consuming meat. Part of 'their' big business schemes. Sure keeps the medical pro's happy in their big paychecks. Or, do 'they' want ppl to get sick on too much meat and eventually die which in turn helps reduce overpopulation of the planet we use?
