I put this in society and culture ,because War has become our society & culture. It is sad to se our sons and daughters go off to war just so they can afford college and tuition. If schooling was completly free, the military would no longer have that to hang over our childrens heads! They always raise tuition, historicaly speaking, when we have a war on,and they need a higher body count!Sorry to be so callus, but from where I'm at,it's true!

No, it is free for those outside the country, but not for those living here. Go figure.

Noted. Very sad. Oprah had a program on Monday here in NZ about African children and why they are not educated because some of them cannot afford to pay to go to school. I found this news quick shocking - because here all we have to pay for - for our children are their books - when they get to College we pay for uniform, books and small fee - but University the student has to pay for everything. But all in all we are pretty fortunate.
But to have to war and fight for something you do not believe in so you can get education - this is a very sad situation!!
