President Hugo Chavez compared the African Union's disapproval of the USA's military operations on the African continent through AFRICOM to the rejection of the increased U.S. military presence in Colombia by UNASUR (the Union of South American Nations).

Chaz Gaily Berlusconi wrote: "Amazing who liek to jump into bed with who... this is not such a strange thing considering where they both come from"

President Hugo Chavez of Venezuela and the President of Syria come from different countries on different continents. Venezuela is in LATIN AMERICA. Syria is in THE MIDDLE EAST. What Chaz Gaily Berlusconi wrote seems very ignorant.

All countries have the right to build their relationships. Countries don't need the approval of Chaz Gaily Berlusconi or other first world people to interact.

Apparently Chaz Gaily Berlusconi does not want Third World countries to be free to make relationships with each other. Perhaps, instead, she supports a renewall of the fascist Italian colonisation of Libya, which resulted in the genocide of hundreds of thousands of Libyan people.

Perhaps Chaz Gaily Berlusconi believes that Venezuela, Syria, Algeria or Libya are "bad" countries. However, if we measure "bad" in terms of how much suffering a country has caused, then it is the USA and other first world countries that have caused, and are causing, the most death and suffering (militarily, economically, etc.). Therefore, those of us who care about such issues will focus our attention on what the USA and other first world countries are doing, especially since most people in Care2 are CITIZENS OF THE USA AND OTHER FIRST WORLD COUNTRIES. (Furthermore, the people of Venezuela, who are making a socialist revolution, are increasing equality, and democracy, access to food, clean water and health care and other human rights, and so saving lives and reducing suffering more than any other country!)

Countries that are oppressed, exploited and threatened by the countries of the first world (e.g. the USA does that to Venezuela, Syria, Algeria and Libya) are wise to unite, to be stronger and become free from that oppression, that exploitation and those threats from the first world.

This is part of how we will end the hegemony of the USA and its first world allies, who are currently oppressing, threatening and plundering U.S.$500 billion net from the Third World each year.

We will end that hegemony, that imperialism, and we will bring about equality between all nations, whether Chaz Gaily Berlusconi likes it or not!

Ty Simon.
We don t want US military bases in South America.
Today is a sad day for usa, but more people died in Chile another 11/09 when Pinochet with Kissinger cooperation (orders?) and Cia, killed President Salvador Allende and many poets, writers, students, ... PEOPLE.
