A Grand Bargain is in the air again, and it smells familiar. Here's our new message to House members and senators: If you agree to any cuts in Social Security, Medicare, or Medicaid benefits, we will begin looking for your replacement.

social security WORKS for millions of citizens. The GOP needs to keep it's greedy fingers out of it.

Signed and noted. I think it would be different for what they want to do, if any of them were getting social security, medicaid, ect. Too bad congress doesn't go with the saying of walking a mile in someone's shoes.

Ten days ago, the Republicans in the U.S. House of Representatives shut down the federal government.

Two days ago, a pollster identified things that now are more popular than Congress. Here are some of them: Dog poop. Zombies. Witches. Hemorrhoids.

Yesterday, another pollster measured the GOP approval rating. Answer: 28%. No major political party has ever seen an approval rating this low.

Well the old lies are back AGAIN.
I heard it with my own ears from a Democratic Senator. Social Security is broke/going broke.. In two years it will be broke. The talk is leading to a compromise on a Republican lie now in the mouth of a Democratic Senator as early as Monday past on television; in an investigative hearing on SSD fraud..

Tell you the truth; I am sick of all of them; .selling us down he drain

It's not going broke and in fact without any changes will still be able to pay 100% for two decades after that it would have to be cut a little, but ending the cap on payments so that everyone pays the same % would make it able to not only pay 100%, but to actually increase payments until the sun goes nova. And you are lying about a Democratic Senator saying that, even the Republicans don't claim that.
