Youth Unemployment Serves Corporate Interests

The underlying reason for the alarming high unemployment rate among America's youth is the desire to "increase corporate profits" and "to create a fearful, obedient, passive citizenry," says political commentator Mark Mason from San Francisco.

it's not just the youth in canada they are replacing skilled and non skilled workers at a high rate, pushing them out of careers (engineering is the worst) or worst non skilled, using poor excuses that nobody wants these jobs. well there are a lot of people who want work but aren't given the opportunity in their own company because of corporate greed and government corruption. they give these companies tax breaks to push out hard working, tax paying citizens. that's why they lowered the requirements for pension eligibility. it's a slap in the face

Corporate profits are up; although you couldn't tell it by the way employees are being treated because CEO's are pocketing the money. Time to push our Congress critters (and POTUS) to raise the minimum wage to $15 an hr. while putting a cap on CEO pay and bonuses.

they will also have lots of people so tired of being unemployed they will be willing
to go to war if the govt decides they need to. Unemployed, scared and low paid people
are the easiest to control.

At least a job somewhere is in the future for youth. Try being a senior and vying with other elders for a job as a Walmart greeter. So sad to see these poor people who have to spend the last drop of life in them at the front door. I doubt they work there "because they love working with people". Maybe it's Walmart's way of showing "we are giving them a job" so they won't be bored? Thanks Walmart for stocking the shelves with items made overseas and not by American workers.
