This means that while Cry (Bt) toxins may have been developed to kill bugs, they kill us.

My guess is Monsanto will never stop lying to us. They just want to make money and people and animals be damned. Also, Monsanto lines the pockets of so many politicians, it's disgusting.

Interesting study, but why does Nation of Change add *When Will Monsanto Stop Lying to Us?*? If this is a *new* study, how would Monsanto have known?
Bt pesticides have been extensively used for over half a century. Mother Earth News, on Apr 24, 2013, touts it as an organic pesticide and gives instructions for it's use.
The study quoted as proving that GMOs cause tumors in rats has been discredited and dismissed by impartial, international peer review because the study has been shown to have serious flaws that, intentionally or inadvertently, skewed the conclusions. Given that the researcher's two previous studies were also dismissed, intentional or inadvertent is highly debatable. No other study has ever shown the same results.
If you're going to report something as news, report the facts. Personal commentary isn't fact or news and shouldn't be used to incite public reaction.

Hey, Barbara, if you don't think Monsanto couldn't have known you haven't been paying attention to anything that corporations do for a profit. In fact I'd bet, if you vegetable garden, you use Bt on your garden, dust with 7 Dust and pump your plants with Miracle-Gro. Brilliant, try doing some reading.

Ken, you have no idea what I do or don't think about Monsanto. You know nothing about my vegetable garden. You know nothing about me. You didn't address any point in my comment.

Thanks for posting, Judy. Monsanto=Evil. They are on their way to monopolizing the GM food industry worldwide. They will lie, cheat, steal....anything for that extra buck and not care who is hurt. They sue farmers when their own seeds blow in the wind onto others' crops. They are Big Business and I have zero good to say about them. The ONLY thing this corp. cares about is their BOTTOM LINE.

Sadly, signed and noted. And to think, this is just the beginning!

Trouble is that most findings until now come from research on rats and other small animals. The findings are not encouraging, to say the least, but can't be generalized to the human population. However, that works both ways, Monsanto can't 'prove' either that GMOs are harmless for humans based on animal studies alone.
So more definitive evidence based on human samples is needed, but at the same time I sure hope they'll never find it. Because if they do, boy, how screwed are we then!

If corporations like Monsanto can't assure the safety of their products, it should not be sold and it should not be experimented with on the scale it does! I do trust nature, nature is the reason I exist. I do not trust humans who think they can temper with and execute dominion over nature! And of course I will not recognise any corporation as a person ( form of life!) for it does not have its origin in nature!
Humanity as a whole needs to wake up to the lies it is being fed from many, many sides...not only Monsanto and the likes!

We do not need all this crap in our foods. Mother Nature did fine before without it. There are many natural ways to handle pests, which people used in the past.
