Manatees are like 'sea cows' and are harmless. People run over them with motorboats and they are the real menace.

Manatees need tough laws to protect them, enforcement of such laws, the education of people so they can learn to love them and care for them and sanctuaries where no hunters nor rice grower can threaten them. Hope they can save these beautiful animals in Sierra leone!

Stiff penalties should be associated with any law they pass. Help for the farmers concerning the manatees should also be considered.

How the heck can a manatee be considered a destructive pest in a fishing area? They are herbivores, so they don't eat fish!
