Oppose Missouri Bill That Would Allow Parents to Opt Out Their Children From Taking Evolution Lessons at School!

Science & Tech  (tags: evolution, evolutionary biology, biology, education )

Natural selection is one of the most important aspects of biology education. We ask the Missouri General Assembly to vote against the bill and save high school education in the state of Missouri!

Signed & noted. Thank you, Carmen. Oh my goodness! What will they think of next to try to dumb down our kids?....make the girls wear burkas to school and teach from the bible all day?

Signed and noted, gladly. Apparently, ignorance is bliss in some states. Con artists can rake in the bucks big time in yet another ignorant state. I pity the children of these misguided folks.

Parents choose what they think is the right education for their children all over the world .
I do not know enough about these particular people and their beliefs but we can not start telling people how to educate their children
They probably truly believe we are misguided who knows look at the mess of our education system and the mess of some of our children it has not done some of them much good.

I wanted to sign this petition, but will not because to sign with that web site you have to give permission for your profile and list of all your friends names for their use.

I would sign but the link keeps sending me to a search site for criminal backgrounds. No a big thing considering that children of those inbred enough to op them out are at a 75%+ chance of being genetically incapable of learning.

To parents who insist on the dumbing down OUR scientific school curriculum, no problem. Home school your kids or send them to private religous schools. The religous believers can believe all they want, but there is this little fact they keep pushing on "SEPARATION OF STATE & CHURCH" it is time churches that push their religous agenda on states lose their TAX EXEMPT STATUS now!

I think that Aurea Walker has a very valid point. When Scientists who have spent many years checking their data are pushed aside as only having some "little" thing which drastically destroys some of the teachings presented, there is grave danger that the children will be taught something that is not beneficial for them. YES Church and State SHOULD be kept very much apart. Funny thing how Evolution seems to come over like a forced situation on to those who do NOT believe it. Bit like a certain religion which, when anyone says anything against it in ANY way they are prepared to come out and kill those who would challenge them. Seems that the Evolutionists are heading the same direction. "IF YOU DON'T LET US EDUCATE YOUR CHILDREN WITH OUR DOCTRINE, WE WILL HAVE YOU REMOVED AND GET EVERYONE TO SIGN A PETITION TO DO JUST THAT". This is sounding to me very much like One Religion persecuting another. Middle East comes to my mind.

Signed petition. The parents must be idiots to deny their kids an education.

"The initiator of the law is Rep. Rick Brattin." I knew that a republi-can't was behind this nonsense. I imagine these are the same kind of people that have the words Darwin and Evolution blocked on their kids internet. Totally bizarre, scientific censorship.
