David and Rascal share quite a unique bond, both pulled from a fire that destroyed not only their home but 2 other family members (2 dogs). Left with nothing but each other, read their story and please share to help David & Rascal.

Noted. Heartbreaking, how can the elderly not be supported by local councils? Thank goodness for these people, what on earth would have happened to this man and his situation without them? How terrible they euthanised one dog, it must have been heartbreaking for the man and the lovely volunteers after all the work they did to help him. Really sad story but with hope. Maybe the volunteers could contact a local radio or tv station with the story as someone might have a room they could offer or a small dwelling. Good luck.

Think the man needs sheltered accommodation with his dog as he is not able to look after himself

What happened? Sincerely hope not arson! Did the frail old man knock over a kerosene lamp or heater, maybe?

Utterly pitiful. I do hope the two survivors are offered at least a room in a "granny annexe" in which to live out their days together - or maybe a "guest cabin" in someone's garden? Quite a few people in the USA have a guest lodge in their grounds, I believe.

I regret I cannot donate any money. I sponsor several cats, in three different countries as well as a special needs moon bear rescued from a bile farm in China. Blessings be upon the pair.

Contribution made. I encourage everyone to send a little something to this poor soul and his dog. I am surprised to see how little they have been able to raise for such a tragic story. Please if it is possible, help these two. Thanks so much.
