I just hooked up with SHARK on FaceBook and put it on my profile, sent emails and signed the steer petition and cross-posted. When I was 10 my dad brought me to the rodeo in Davie Florida-I knew there was something wrong with it back then.

OMG! Just seen the videos....really shocked...its absolutely disgusting horrible barbaric cruelty...some entertainment yuch...we don't have this in Uk it would be illegal...had no idea it was like that in US....SHOULD BE ILLEGAL there too...Petition signed and forwarded...still fuming at the total and utter disrespect for life...savages.

The first comment on this story gives links to Shark's site to actually email the corporate sponsors. The petition link lower down in the posts is directed only at Cheyenne Rodeo. it will be much appreciated if you could attend to both. The Shark's links requires lots of actions, but we must let the coporates know they SUCK BIG TIME!!!

The real way to stop it is by not buying any of their products. I have stopped buying anything that is corporate. I buy only farmers market and organic. I buy my soaps, etc from home made crafters. I will not shop K.Mart, WalMart, etc., and I make my own dog and cat food. I never drink Pepsi, Coke or buy fast foods.
Anyone who buys that stuff just engages in the crimes.

Rodeo's are cruel andmust be quite frightening for the animals... The pain and abuse that they go through must be unbearable... time to boycott the actual rodeos and the advertisers of these events... also time to pull their names through the mud.

Rafael, thanks for the heads-up about facebook-I'm new there, so will look for them too.
Here's what I e-mailed:
"On behalf of animals and SHARK, I would like to add my voice to ending any sponsorship of rodeos by your company. I moved to Pendleton and have witnessed animals die in the ring for entertainment. It's a horrible, outdated tradition that I will never have the curiosity to experience again.
Please consider putting your advertising dollars towards more humane endeavors!"
The Round-Up rodeo is in my town in September...It's much like Cheyenne...

Thank you Eureka, Have taken all actions and forwarded to friends. I protest at every single rodeo that I can get to. I live in Texas about 25 miles from the Oklahoma boarder so there are tons of them. I dislike rodeo's with a passion.

In my opinion, rodeos are like circuses:
they BOTH need to outlawed, and years ago!
I've had people tell me that rodeo animals
are not mis-treated, that they are actually
well cared-for. I'm sorry, but I think that's
a load of sh*t. All one has to do is watch a
rodeo to know the vicious brutality heaped on
these poor horses and bulls.
I'll be sending e-mails to Coke, Dodge, Wal-Mart
and McDonald's. I'm not terribly surprised to see
these corporations involved in rodeo sponsorship.
Just the "usual suspects", one could say.

I agree Tim. But until humans re-define the words: torture, abuse, civilization there is very little hope for the animals. Thank you for going the extra mile here by sending emails to all these corporate morons.
