Michael Vick Doesn't Sound So Thrilled About Being An Eagle

"I won't be a Wildcat guy. I can't," Vick told NBC. "It's a different style of play. It's almost like a hit-or-miss type of thing. My position is quarterback. That's what I was born to do."

Isn't it sad (NOT), that Michael Vick is unhappy about the position he is playing on the Philadelphia Eagles. He gets a chance to play in the NFL again, and he is complaining.

Screw em!
I want to try to be passive and intelligent about this...but that's not gonna happen on this thread.
Do any of you watch Rescue Ink?
It's the new Animal rescue show with the big NEw York and Jersey tough guys with hearts of freakin Gold!
Great show watch it!
Anyways they have quite a few eposides with Pitbulls.Including a heart breaking tale of the brutal death of a pittie. In that eposide they were talking with local Animal Cops on the issue and were told ever since Michael Vick's arrest that Dog Fighting has RISEN to something crazy like 100-200%.
That's insane!
Why?
Because this guys got a slap on the wrist and is now back at making MILLIONS!
Thanks JUstice system.
Thanxs!

Whine, Whine, Whine!
He shows over and over again he cares only about soothing his precious ego. His selfishness, cruelty and cold-hearted behavior is evident in everything he does and everything he says. Time to grow up, Vick!

Noted with thanks Phyllis.

What a whiner! He should be glad it's not "the position" he had in prison -(AKA Bent Over)!

Maybe vick will get an injury while playing and that the injury is severe enough to put him out of football forever.

3.6 million dollars...? He should simply "shut-up"! or maybe whine some more and the NFL will kick him out for "mouthing-off".

TY, Phyllis.

Always ranting and raving.. and finding nothing happy under the sun... this is his lot in life.. playing the innocent victim.. he needs to come clean and acknowledge that he is a jerk

Evil dog killer aside, I have a hard time feeling pity for any of those overpaid idiots when I read that school budgets and social services like police and fire protection are being cut due to the bad economy...That too will come around to hurt animals and the less fortunate in our society.
Lady Libertarian, Rescue Ink is a great show-I was appalled at that comment too...
TY Phyllis. :)

Perhaps a pack of dogs on the pitch would be more to his liking! These idiots certainly command rdicuous fees only eclipsed by the obscene comics employed by the BBC in the UK! As Lori says when you see cuts being made to essential servces you do wonder about a nations priorities! Of course that applies to all nations not just the US or UK!

I agree with Dawn... His position in PRISON!!!
Hey Michael - My dog (yes, he is a pit) has a message for you! He said to tell you...
"YOU Don't GET TO BITCH!!! You are LUCKY you got back in to the NFL!!! You should be grateful you are even on the BENCH!"
He also wanted me to let you know to come to OUR HOUSE. He has something for you!

Tant pis. Be thankful that you get to play ball. And that thank whatever deity that there are laws against someone doing to you what you did to those poor animals because believe me when I say that are some who would like to do just that.

Such scum!

The justice system is so selective in whom they let off the hook and whom they seem to crucify!

He deserves too have his testicles used as the ball for the kicker! REAL HARD KICK! Moron!

I could care less if he is black, white, blue, red, green, lavender, I could go on, that's another cop out line I'm getting sick of hearing when someone offers an opinion of one of color.

It degrades them and where they come from when they use that as a shield for deceit!

Shame on the justice system;

I often wonder if there is true justice or just paid off justice? Two Tiered justice? I think I may have stumbled upon something that just possibly has been going on for far to long!

No wonder we have anarchists who hate government!

They brought it on themselves! fools!

Someone hurry and offer Vick Paxil for his ill fainted heart, poor soul!

Death and blood on his hands, yet another OJ! Sound familiar? look the same in scenario, different twist?

Thank you,
Nick J Davis

You know what is truly sad about all this? This manchild
has the education of a 6th grader!!! Vick is making more than
someone who beat their brains out for to becoma a doctor!!!!!
That is almost criminal & truly immoral.

Agree?

Vick should be grateful he does not live in China or Iran.
Vick would have spent a lifetime in prison or strung up on a
crane as they do it in Iran for this crime. But, we all can be
very grateful for one thing, Vicks every move, every bat of his eyes
will be forever followed & recorded. The jerk set himself up to have
his picture splashed all over creation with every step he takes.

Vick wants all to forget & forgive.......It will never happen!!!!!!!

It would be fantastic if Vick had to give 3/4's of his earnings, that's anything & everything he gets. Then it could all be given, [ not donated because this scum bag would claim on it. ] to caring for dogs that had been ill treated. Assist people that would LOVE a dog. Not beat them. Oh yes I would love to see that. TY Phyllis

the Birds are sick of him anyway, my husband is nothing but ashamed that they hired a criminal.
so how bout all the help he was supposed to give to, who was it, HSUS? where is all this work he was supposed to do? as their spokeperson against animal abuse. is he going into the schools and giving speeches to the kids to tell them how awful a human being he was for what he did to animals? is he donating any time to an animal shelter? is he riding with animal police to see how devastating people can be to an animal? I haven't seen the action, did they forget? or am I just missing it?

Sheila - you make a very, very interesting point: the ball team hired a convicted CRIMINAL. Isn't is sad that our priorities as a nation are too heavily invested in these "sports teams" who really serve no real purpose in our society except a little entertainment? And for that, they get overpaid, overpampered, and commit crimes constantly and STILL get breaks left and right because they're a "sports star." Meanwhile, people who commit crimes like stealing for food or whatever who come out of jail can't get work because of their crimintal history record, but this jerk, who is known abuser of other creatures, he can? I find that extraordinary and unacceptable.

Before anyone jumps on the "he did the crime and did the time" argument, that's not the problem here. It's the undo influence of "sports" and celebrity that I object to because this man, just like OJ Simpson, rode a bandwagon of priviledge while other people who did lesser offenses certainly wouldn't get the extra breaks and chances. That's mostly what I have a problem with.

Why can't these people have any standards and ethics like the New England Patriots? I hear they are very strict about the conduct of their team members and an arrest and conviction means you don't play for *them*. Why can't they all have those kinds of ethics, and more to the point, why isn't the public DEMANDING this kind of accountability???

In my humble opinion this creature & O.J. have something
very wrong with the inner workings of their minds.

One can be raggedy ass poor & be honorable!!!!!
Their mama forgot to teach them that & it is not a quality
these men/creatures know anything about & never will!!

Down the road Vick will be behind bars for something,
just wait & see.

ty Rooibos, and how bout the Falcons for dumping his worthless hide in the first place? and he was let back in, what was the point? no integrity, Eagles. they seem to have bought him cheap and will sell bigger next year. yu hit it right on the head, Vick is so lucky to have a job, how many come out of prison and can't find work, with a lesser offense than this?
and he cries, fekkiin waaaaaaaaaaaaaa

You're right, the Falcons did to the right thing (they deserve praise for that, thanks for reminding us of it, too). Having just recently moved from metro Atlanta, I can say there were LOTS of people in Georgia who said, "GOOD!" when they dropped his worthless butt for what he did.

I hope that maybe, just maybe, people will wise up and not accord others this unearned "starhood" and act as if anything they do should be tolerated. In my opinion, if you're in the public eye like he is, or a president or whatever, you should be an exemplary example because NOW you've been elevated and must rise to the occassion. I heard it said by some commentator (wish I could recall his name!) that if having been arrested or committing crimes would get sports figures barred from playing, there'd be no more NFL or basketball league and so on. I think that commentator was sadly right. What's sadder is that the public doesn't insiste on better behaviour and still keeps rewarding people who make no real contributions to society whatsoever. In my eyes, Vick's "skills" are basically useless.

Does anyone have a handkerchief I can borrow? I am crying for 'poor' Vick (NOT)! He got a 'get out of jail free' card, makes millions and yet he cries over 'his lot in life'! I still say let the pitties at him....not the sweet pitties but the ones he like to fight! Let him see first hand how it feels!!! I agree, it is a sad day when these animal killing felons are allowed back in the spotlight with only a slap on the wrist! No wonder America is breeding crime....WE CONDONE ARE SHOWING THAT WE CONDONE IT AND THEN PAY BIG BUCKS TO THESE 'FELON CELEBRITIES' TO BOOT! Is it just me or is something wrong with this picture?

In case no one has ever looked or bothered to check most
of these players come from the same background as Vick.
Most have little more than a 12th grade education with a 6th
grade I.Q. Intelligence score just like Vick.

Maybe the NFL & other leagues need to go beyond the places
Vick came from. I'd rather see/have a losing team full of honest
educated men than a bunch of thugs who can't read but can do
little more than run & live in big houses.

And, indeed it is the National Felon League.......
.No need to wonder why.
