This may be the single most amazing thing I have ever seen. I had no idea this was possible. Watch the video, you'll feel as Spirit did, as I did, stopped in my tracks by what this remarkable woman can do. I am going to learn a lot more about her!

This is beyond amazing to me. It is a connection with animals I never dreamed possible, but there is convincing evidence that this is a true story, an actual event. It is just so wonderful. I am still in mouth open awe over what I saw and heard.

Of course it's possible, dear Gene! For example see Penelope Smith or Anna Breytenbach

As I'm perusing her website now, Laurence, I find that this video IS about Anna Breytenbach. Quite amazing. Maybe a new career at my age? Probably not, but the idea of communicating energetically with all of creation I am familiar with, we are all connected etherically whether we realize it or not. Through the energy of what is. Sort of the energy that makes the universe possible, I've seen it pictured as a hologram. It is what explains this energy we cannot see but which must exist or we'd all be crumpled into a tiny smidgen as before the big bang. It is the energy that holds you there and me here and my desk below my hands, that allows us to be, without this invisible energy holding things apart, well, nothing could be. I've also seen it postulated that one could communicate along those invisible energetic lines holding us in our own space, the sort of the thing that we call deja vu, for instance. That this communication device is already present in every atom in the universe but that we have never learned how to use it. I am rethinking that as I read her site. I find this quite exciting, it is like what I call my inner voice, I know there is one and it isn't me. This is like that and maybe even explains that. It will be an interesting process of discovery and I will probably end up getting that dvd of hers. Insatiable curiosity can be expensive, but oh so rewarding. :^)

Ty Gene . . .

"Kinship with all creatures of the earth, sky and water was a real and active principle. For the animal and bird world there existed a brotherly feeling that kept the Lakota Safe among them and so close did some of the Lakotas come to their feathered and furred friends that in true brotherhood they spoke a common tongue."
―Ota K'Te/Mochunozhin Oglala Lakota, Dec. 1868-Feb. 20, 1939 [aka:Chief Luther Standing Bull Teton Sioux]

“You have only to ask the cattle, for them to instruct you, and the birds of the sky, for them to inform you. The creeping things of earth will give you lessons, and the fish of the sea provide you an explanation: there is not one such creature but will know that the hand of God has arranged things like this! In his hand is the soul of every living thing and the breath of every human being!” —Job 12:7-10

“Animals have a life of their own that is of importance to them apart from their utility to us. They are not only in the world, they are aware of it. What happens to them matters to them. Each has a life that fares better or worse for the one whose life it is.” – Tom Regan, Animal Rights Activist

They are very lucky to have such a wonderful place to live with such love as well. It makes me so sad for all the others in the world who are not so lucky. Thank you again.

This video reminded me of an interview on NPR of an American woman who seemed to be capable of understanding how animals felt. She was somewhat autistic and was good at experiencing the world outside of spoken language. My recollection is that she was thus able to experience the world the same way animals do.

Wonderful!
I believe animals have souls in them as we do..when they choose us, its because like when we plan our life out b4 being born, we already know all the players we will come across..the same for animals..we may choose to be an animal in the next life and recognize friends, etc...

Absolutely amazing..
TY Gene!

Thanks, Gene. I've seen this remarkable video. We have or had a black leopard at Henry Doorly Zoo. I used to watch a show early every weekday morning on Animal Planet before work. It featured Sonya Fitzpatrick who is an animal whisperer. She was absolutely remarkable. She talked to every animal from dogs/cats to zebras, elephants, alligators etc. I was SO bummed when the show ended. I also read her book.
Here is a link to her Animal Planet segments:

of the movie with Claire Danes (seen on Homeland TV series) as Temple Grandin, Colorado cow whisperer. Preview video.
http://blogs.westword.com/latestword/2010/02/cow_whisperer_temple_grandins.php

Grandin is the focus of a semi-biographical HBO film, entitled Temple Grandin, starring Claire Danes as Grandin. The movie was released in 2010, was nominated for 15 Emmys, and received five awards, including Outstanding Made for Television Movie and Best Actress in a Drama.

An unusual film. If you can get it, have a watch.

I took a class in animal communication and read the awesome book, "What the Animals Tell Me by Sonja Fitzgerald.

Yes, Animal Communication is a career. Last time I checked, they were making $60 an hour and were listed in the phone book.

It's a skill that can be learned and it certainly enriches life. I got to pet a humming bird as long as I liked. When I go out walking, dogs strain on their leashes to come to me. Kitties sit in a group and listen while I tell them "God made you and he loves you. You can pray to God. He will hear you. He will help you."

I usually begin my conversation with an animal by saying, "You're as much a soul as I am." That really gets their attention. They aren't used to being approached as equals. Check out Ecclesiastes 3; New International Version (or other versions) ....verses 18 to 21 -

I cried when Spirit was communicating. You can see the wisdom in his eyes. .I am so happy he was finally heard and shown respect.
My daughter has had this capability since she was very young. She has it now. Animals come to her.She was at a friend's place where the deer came across the yard up to the window to speak with her. The friend was blown away, saying the deer had never even come into the yard before. Racoons have come to her along with birds. Her biggest communication now is with dogs.
As a child she talked with the monkeys at the local park whereas they were not nice to other children. We moved to another state but 10 years later she went back and he recognized her wanting to know where she had been. That left me dumbfounded and her crying
Yes I believe this is more than possible
Then, we show no respect to animals why would they want to communicate with us
thx Gene for sharing this

I had an experience with animal communication and a dog I met on one of my walks. The man and his dog were doing some front yard work. Of course, I greeted the dog first and then began to chat with the man a while. I began by complementing the man on his dog....a large dog with a bit of an attitude. I told him how animals understand us. It's we who don't understand them.

I immediately had the dogs full attention. His "What's this" was written all over his face.

The man went into the house to get a pen and paper to put down my phone number. The dog began to follow him.

I said this to the dog, "You're as much a soul as I am. God made you. God loves you."

Dog turned and gave me a huffy response that still has me laughing.

Dog said, "I know God." then went on into the house.

Thank you for sharing this incredible video Gene. The human being has lost so much along the way when they have chosen to Walk with their Ego rather than their Heart. Various stories from all sorts of culture depict this. I think the one that most know of is the Garden of Eden, when man and woman was able to live among all of the animals and be at Peace.

Their Ego got the better of them and hence forth they have felt seperated from the Source of all. The animals have not lost this, hence as Zee stated with the dog, who knew God. Most certainly the dog does, as does the cat and all other animals. We don't have to call this God, we can call this energy by whatever name one wants to refer to it by, it is the Universal Energy of all that is, includes thought. The story of the Garden of Eden is only one of the many ways to explain our seperation from the Spirit of Life our connection as being One with all that is.

In the teachings of the American Indian there was always animals, birds, plants, and the elements that were all within the teachings. Only man has stepped outside the teachings, hence why the native people looked to the Ones, they call their relatives to "teach" them the correct ways of living. The relatives that never severed their connection with the Divine, the grasses, the bees, the trees, the waters, the buffalo, the tigers, the bears, the winds, all is part of the whole. When one learns to truly connect with that then they become like a conduit to all that is.

We are all working within the spiritual realm even if we do not realize it, too many fail to see with open eyes or hear with our ears. I've been in mourning for my Mother this past 6 days, and this is the story that I so needed to remind me, that truly Mom is only a thought away from me. We all have this ability to speak to animals and to connect with those who have gone onto the spiritual level, for our bodies are merely our robes, the spirit is in us all the time, it becomes freed when it can shed it's body or robes. Because we are so use to working on a concrete level, we miss that body or the spirit clothed in the robes, we limit ourselves most of the time to deal only on the concrete level. This story has uplifted me, and I know these things, I've witness this myself, yet as we have limited ourselves, as society forces limitations upon us, as we allow the weight of the world to come upon us, we forget that we are spiritual beings.

We all have the potential to be the teachers and the students, we must see the teachings where-ever we are for they are being sent to us daily. What others see as haphazard I see as a teaching being brought to me be it in the form of an animal or in this case a man named Gene, who placed on a story, that I would one day look at.
Spirit gently bringing me to a place I need to be to say, "see, all is going as it should" your Mother is with you, in all things we exist at all times.

In our teachings it was to understand that all life had the right to exist and that we, the human were not above nor below it, but part of the Circle of Life. When one is in a Circle one is on level with all else, we may see from a different point, if I sit in the east I can not see behind me, but the one that sits in the west can. So human, the animals, the plants, we all see things from a differing perspective and we learn from each other. When one is of an understanding that even the grass beneath our feet is part of life, is also a living being, then we become a lot more respectful in how we conduct ourselves.

Other forms of life will give of themselves in order that we may survive, the plants will allow themselves to be eaten so that we may live, but while they grow, be respectful of their life, clean water, fresh air, sunshine, is a must for their lives to grow in good energy, but when we pollute our air, our waters, then this too goes into the plants, and we take in this pollution. Compound that will all of the life systems we see around us today and we are about as far away from the natural way as one would want to go, far away from the living spirit of life. A lot of people state they are believers of a God, but that in no way connects them to the Source. In our teaching we are told to not listen to just the words of the individual but to look into their heart, for it was by watching a person that we could determine which of the words they speak were from the heart or which were only being mouthed because it sounds good.

You see how far Spirit, the being within the cat has been able to reach out? No desk to type from, no pen or a piece of paper, yet here is Spirit's message, reaching many of us around the world. So think what we as the human could truly rise to if we would just push that ego aside and truly become what we are meant to be. We could have the Garden of Eden back again, our world would flourish, and the hearts would be light within us.

Thank you for bringing the tears of joy to my life today Gene, and thank you Spirit and those who helped you in their connection with you to bring this message forward. Light workers do not only come from the human form.

This video brought tears to my eyes. I have known that we all this ability for years. There was a woman years ago who gave classes, I always wanted to take them but was never able to. I feel much closer to animals than I do people and much prefer their company. I am definitely going to checkout her DVD. Maybe I will be able to get my dogs to mind!

In wandering her website, I found a link to the longer video, 52 minutes, that they said was available sometimes, they didn't control when, at an address in South Africa. I went there, found it and went to checkout and found it was R268 something. So next I found a currency converter and learned that Rand 268 was US 24.93, R199 was for shipping. I ordered, have an email that says it has been mailed, so we'll see how long it takes, they said March 5th but then also perhaps 3 weeks. I can wait.

Thank you, Dandelion for that beautiful treatise above. That was amazing and you are SO on the spot with every bit of it, it is immutable truth. Thank you for sharing that with me, with us. :^) gene

In case anyone wonders, I did get the 52 minute video in about a week, which is quite amazing to think about considering they didn't have my state, just city and zip code. This piece is at the very end, but the rest of it I enjoyed too. I've heard from so many people who also have this gift, have always had it. As I thought about it, my last dog, Cisco, there were times I really felt I could read his mind and that he was beaming words at me. Mostly, can I? When he wanted to do something he knew he needed permission for - those sometimes turned out a bit dirty, but my response was, "sure, buddy" and in that instant he'd take off doing whatever it was that was on his mind. As if HE could read my mind, or understand those two words. So, I do think it possible, and was surprised by the nonchalance of those who share this kind of gift, no one seem to think it is a big deal, but I think it is - it demonstrates our larger connections to the world, all of it, not just our species. :^)

I'm sorry to be late getting here and must thank Sheryl for the forward. I think we have missed out on many that do have this amazing and beautiful ability. There is NOTHING I could add except thank Gene and Sheryl for the heads up- she already said it all there is.
Zee Kallah also expressed it in her own unique way. We are all relatives, and I am a bit surprised at Gene's initial words that he was doubtful at first.
I bet that right here at Care2 there are probably a whole lot of animal communicators!
I think they couldn't have picked a better name for Spirit!
Miss Breytenbach was actually in South Germany last year hosting a seminar for animal communication which can indeed be learned by those willing to perceive. Unfortunately, there is also a whole lot of marketing and advertising involved in it. Probably inevitable.

And YES, there are people who can do this. Most anyone who opens their heart and mind and be still and LISTEN can on some deeper level, communicate with animals. Arrogance and ignorance on mankind's part has killed many which are vastly greater, in many many ways, than humanity.
