An Israeli company's experimental blood test can detect dementia while the disease is still mild enough to treat more effectively.

"NeuroQuest’s management hopes to provide the same early-warning capability to people in the first stages of Alzheimer’s, ALS, Parkinson’s and other progressive neurodegenerative diseases."

I am glad to see the US involved so early on, it may hasten the years long process for getting anything approved by the FDA. Of course, this also means no practitioner of the religion of "peace" will ever use this test or any treatment resulting from it because it was developed in Israel. That may be a beneficial side effect even if never listed on the warning label. It is interesting to come across so soon after reading article saying genius was no more. A bit of a premature, umm, statement, that.

Israel has such a small population and country, is surrounded by enemies that want to utterly annihilate her, and yet her people go on living life, being creative, productive citizens and always giving of their brilliance for the benefit of humankind, pushing ahead especially the fields of medical technology, environmental sciences, etc.

Just a few months ago the UN, known for ignoring the horrible human rights violations in numerous Islamic countries and others, while focusing almost solely on Israel's self-defense, was prevailed upon by that same UN which can only heap sanctions on Israel to allow Israel's technology of water purification tablets to be sold to Syria's citizens, Israel's sworn enemy, because there is clean water shortage in Syria with all of the fighting.

Israel, for humanitarian reasons, decided to override their ban on selling Israeli products to enemies like Syria.

I can guarantee you that if this situation was reversed, the Syrians would not only sell such a precious item to Israel, they'd be cheering for the Israelis to die.

Thanks, Israel, and thanks for this article, Stan.

Great News! But these great news stories always come with the downer of years to wait until these new wonders are available. Too bad for those who won't make it that long.

This comes as a new story has also come out about Spanish scientists have now discovered a vaccine for Alzheimer's! BUT they are just getting ready to do human trials and it may be 8 to 10 years before it is available to the public. Still.....

Thanks for the good news, Stan!

Having known and loved many with Alzheimer's, this is wonderful news! It also sounds like many other diseases could be determined. Go, Israel! Thanks so much for the article, care2.

Noted, tweeted, tweeted, shared. Marvelous news; this can occur in any family. It's particularly sad. Good to new that it might be possible to identify. I have read another article about this and the simple fact of knowing early gives doctors a chance to slow the disease down.
