Fantastic!!! I would like to see every multi millionaire donate at least $1m to a good cause whether it be starving children, free pet desexing program or anything else. There is more than enough money to go around it is just that too few have far too much.No NEEDS that much money,so for every $10 million you have donate $1m and enrich other people's lives or at least improve them a little. Imagine the despair of not having or being able to afford even the most basic items, like water, food and medicine let alone anything else. Great example Drew let's hope many follow your example. Thank you Virginia

"Barrymore, 33, a WFP ambassador against hunger, announced her pledge on The Oprah Winfrey Show to kick off the agency's $3 billion "Fill the Cup" campaign that aims to feed 59 million hungry school children in developing countries for a year."

TY, Virginia.

Bless her heart! More people that actually have vast amounts of money like this SHOULD, imho, be much more generous to those in need.

I liked that she went to Kenya and worked on the ground for 2 years to see what it is all about before just writing a check. It's one thing to send money another thing to live it and gain a passion so that you can spread the word and know what it is that you are talking about.

Thank you, DB. I am a Kenyan and I have seen hungry faces of poverty stricken, wretched earth children, some orphaned by AIDS and lack of adequate health care, that are sad and needing the help of the world. May it be added unto you!

Now don't get me wrong....I adore Drew Barrymore, and think this is a fabulous donation that will help tons of people through this organization, BUT....she didn't have to do it on Oprah, she could have just quietly DONE IT!!
