Dandelion -- I was surprised to see Big Ant (in photo here). They are a great bunch of people doing great work. I especially like that they're unconventional and don't look the other way when they hit some red-tape snag. Totally worth watching and supporting!

Wood Dragon it was a toss up between Batso and Big Ant what picture I would use....is wonderful this man of 75 is still being a vital part of society in his helping the animals. However, there was just something about Big Ant...this large man with the tiny little bird on his shoulder and a contented cat resting on his big tatoo arms that won out.

I've read a bit about them and they have their own website. I contacted them to see if they would turn up to a council meeting for Tony the Tiger but guess that they were too busy to go. Awesome though.
