SCROLL DOWN FOR THE PLAYING VIDEO.......First photo is that, a photo.

Excerpt from Keith Olbermann: He said that, without a protest movement, the "tide" that had brought the debt deal "will crush us, because those who created it are organized and unified and hell-bent. And the only response is to be organized and unified and hell-bent in return."

"Has Now Given Up..."nope,just becomeing far more overt about it-far worse is to come if the Second American Revoltion does not actively happen while it has it's best chances of succeeding. This is true reason behind gun control movement-People Control, not crime control. Those now called gov. in truth are only properly :Survants"-of the people-ONLY the American People are both Sovein &Government. Though for the good of society, they should, they do NOT legaly have to obey any others made laws-only survants do. So called "leaders" have only a "Delegated Athority" ,-To BE",let alone to Act,& Act in WAYS degreed by True Gov.

I don't know about anybody else, but I think we've already been crushed like a bug.

But, yes, we should protest. At least make all of them squirm a little.

Keith Olberman is now on Current TV. He speaks what we all feel, and I really hope that the American people will not allow for this to be it. I'm too sick, and also am getting up there in age, so I am tired of fighting. Been fighting most all my life ... but I can sign petitions and make phone calls ... and sit on the corner with my sign. Thanks, Sheryl.

I love this man, he's the most refreshing commentator I've seen in ages He speaks the truth. We absolutely must fight against this corruption. I have been fighting for a long time, but I find that most people could care less because they think everything will be ok, or that it is. We are being ripped off by a government that has chosen money over integrity, truth, justice and freedom. There are people fighting this, I write letters, sign petitions, call local representatives and the white house. There are people getting signatures in front of the big stores here fighting this. We are the government, not these men and woman. I am sick of all of them. But we need more of us to make a difference. If we don't stand up for our rights, we will lose them, along with the ability to make other important changes, ie: animal rights, environmental protections, etc. It is accelerating, taking away our rights to grow our own food, handing our health over to Monsanto and Codex Almentarius, poisoning our children with mandatory vaccines, cutting protections on our wildlife, killing wolves in Idaho on site, Homeland security, TSR scanning of innocents, We are not the terrorists! But I bet you can guess who really is now! Thanks Dandelion!

I think action needs to start NOW with those who are in a position to protest because it is not going to get better with each passing day & before you are actually living on the street! This is going to get really dirty & ugly! And those in Power, let me say to you, DO NOT CARE! As GREED, POWER & CONTROL is all they know! Thanks for this posting Dandelion! Like Keith said you need to get MAD!

EXCELLENT! (Both Keith's words . . . and Sheryl sharing them.)

"Where is the outrage to come from?

From YOU!

It will do no good to wait for the politicians to suddenly atone for their sins. They are too busy trying to keep their jobs, to do their jobs.

It will do no good to wait for the media to suddenly remember its origins as the 'free press,' the watchdog of democracy envisioned by Jefferson. They are too busy trying to get exclusive DETAILS about exactly how the bankrobbers emptied the public's pockets, to give a damn about telling anybody what they looked like, or which way they went.

It will do no good to wait for the apolitical public to get a clue. They can't hear the clue through all the chatter and scandal and diversion and delusion and illusion."

Keith is one of the few truth tellers left on television. I'm afraid most of the pundits (who in hell came up with that term) on MSNBC are even selling out to their own egos. If we see Ed leave MSNBC, then we'll know it's totally moving rightward, IMO. Keith is telling us to get off our asses before it's too late. I went out yesterday with MoveOn folks to my Senators' offices. They were both (Snowe and Collins) in DC, of course, about to vote for the debt ceiling package, but their very capable front desk people were politic in their greetings to us. They almost seemed to listen, but you know how that is. The point being that we did speak out about the upcoming Medicare/SS "reform" that's expected in November. Snowe's man, Peter Morin, offered no counters to what we said and we felt better for having let them see real people who are suffering from the T/R policies. Keith is right: We must get out there and create an American Tihrir Square if we have to. Thanks Dandelion, dear. You're a good soldier in this fight. And thanks to Carole for forwarding (even if I do get duplicates)

I think wall street got the message that the American people don't trust any of the politicians anymore. The stock market dropped the lowest since the recession is what the news said last night.

Thank you, Keith Olbermann, Dandelion, and Carole. I was so depressed this am; I was ready to quit trying. I was thinking about moving to another country. I was thinking about submerging myself in games and dvd's instead of my usual attempts, albeit armchair, to change/improve this country and this world. But, Carole forwarded me this Olbermann speech and his tremendous strength and drive inspired me and put me back in the game-that-is-not-a-game. I hope ever Dem, Independent, and politically lost soul reads or hears his speech today, or soon. With so much stacked against us at this point, we need leaders who actually lead (unlike Obama the sellout). And,as he said, we have to get up and do it ourselves; waiting for leadership will do us no good.

Keith states it as it is. We had an event on the Mall in Washington. This very open and heavily attended event was part of the reason the US got out of Viet Nam. You can tell the US had no real reason to be there. This little country, less that the size of California, beat our asses.

Thank you for posting this sheryl, our "representatives" have to be held accountable for their decisions and their actions. Write them, email them, call them and let them know how you feel. Don't just sit back and accept what they do with a feeling of helplessness and frustration. Let them know that if they don't begin to align themselves with the will of the people they will be gone.

Thank you for the post, and forward Carole. I am rabid wild animal right now, in process of writing my letters which I always do but have little to no effect. Except in one issue, so I don't give up hope. I am tired, I have signed so many petitions, written so many letters, emails, faxes...Now it's time for civil disobedience. It's time for a massive march on Washington. But where is the bus? Who knows? Who's organizing? I belong to many orgs.??? A date needs to be set, and organized. People need transportation. Money is needed to get buses to help people get there. You and I can not organize this - but an Organization can. You know I have seen alot of commentaries, and Olbermann is right on, but a plan is needed. It doesn't appear to be enough sending off our emails and letters. In the 60's people just got up and did it. Who cares if your dirty for a couple of days. Bring your own food. Sleep in the bus or car. Am I dreaming? We need at least 100,000 or more people to go. I don't think local protest will help. It must be Washington. Will America do this?. Why not Olbermann. O bla, bla, bla, I'm exhausted - I have over 80 emails right now. Some one organize something!

The only way America will get out of this crisis and all the others which are piling up at warp speed, is when Washington is well fumigated! Some of the states that are being led, misled actually, are in serious jeopardy as well. Until "We" the people get up, get out and move our agendas "We" will continue seeing one crisis after another. Time to "Rumble", The "Rumble Of The People" well be the only action that the disease of gr$$d well back off from.

And I "Dare" say this. If we continue procrastinating and waiting for Washington to find it's voice of reason "We" are in for far more then what's now before US!

The Plutocrats/corporations that they own have upset the three powers, what the constitution calls the separations. Now they own most of those who serve. Jefferson warned US! JFK did as well. What more do we need to happen to US and the world at large before "We" get out in numbers and Rumble! When I use the word Rumble it's meant to get loud, march, write, take back what rightfully belongs to those of US who have earned it the old fashioned way! If "We" don't make ourselves a big part of the solution to what's ailing US, then we'll be faced with more then a crisis! A radio and blog site will be debuted soon. Aptly called the "Rumble Of The People".

We heard Ralph Nader use "Rumble Of The People" in an interview and it spoke to US. These battles are becoming more and more one sided because we're not being represented by leaders who honor their oath of office. Washington does what it's done for generations. "Speaks With Forked Tongue"

Budgets do not come from the White House. They come from Congress and the party that controlled Congress since January 2007 is the Democratic Party. Furthermore, the Democrats controlled the budget process for FY 2008 & FY 2009 as well as FY 2010 & FY 2011. In that first year, they had to contend with George Bush, which caused them to compromise on spending, when Bush somewhat belatedly got tough on spending increases. For FY 2009 though, Nancy Pelosi & Harry Reid bypassed George Bush entirely, passing continuing resolutions to keep government running until Barack Obama could take office. At that time, they passed a massive omnibus spending bill to complete the FY 2009 budgets. And where was Barack Obama during this time? He was a member of that very Congress that passed all of these massive spending bills, and he signed the omnibus bill as President to complete FY 2009. Let's remember what the deficits looked like during that period. If the Democrats inherited any deficit, it was the FY 2007 deficit, the last of the Republican budgets. That deficit was the lowest in five years, and the fourth straight decline in deficit spending. After that, Democrats in Congress took control of spending, and that includes Barack Obama, who voted for the budgets. If Obama inherited anything, he inherited it from himself. In a nutshell, what Obama is saying is I inherited a deficit that I voted for and then I voted to expand that deficit four-fold since January 20th. Stay Focused, Connected, Informed & Inspired.

Barbara thank you for the interesting comment Installing Common Sense in Washington.

Care For All appreciate all the extra information.

Amena, glad Keith's commentary was able to rejuvenate you. Please do pass around this video so that others who need a pick me up can also get one, and for those who may still be lost perhaps it will clear a few things up for them, for others, yes, someone hears you and is at least on TV saying so.

Mary, both parties have failed us, and so I will repeat.....BOTH parties have failed us. It took many in both of the parties to pass foolish policies, fail to stop foolish policies, didn't point out when the theives were running off with the money, and were too busy pointing fingers at each other......which needs to stop......even from our own selves, so we can pull together and SAVE THIS COUNTRY!

Remember the statement.......A House Divided against itself can not stand.......so party loyalty without seeing the pitfalls of what the others have done will get us nowhere, BOTH Parties have FAILED US.

I thank all who commented, forwarded, and most important watched the video......

Just stay on coarse, keep doing what we do, sign petitions, make those calls, and do what Caitlin did, bless her heart, went with a group to to her Senators Office. You go girl! I'd send another star but afraid you got the quota this week.

Following quotes by Keith Olbermann.....

"Where is the outrage to come from?" he asked rhetorically. "From you! It will do no good to wait for the politicians to suddenly atone for their sins...it will do no good to wait for the media to suddenly remember its origins as the 'free press'...it will do no good to wait for the apolitical public to get a clue."

He said that, without a protest movement, the "tide" that had brought the debt deal "will crush us, because those who created it are organized and unified and hell-bent. And the only response is to be organized and unified and hell-bent in return."

He said the public "must find again the energy and the purpose of the 1960's and early 1970's and we must protest this deal and all the goddamn deals to come, in the streets."

Anger is easy. Anger is universal.

The important thing is understand the reality of what it is you are angry about. Hell, the Tea Party gets angry about the most twisted and ill informed BS. I have seen angry stuff posted on Care2 by good and caring people that just boggles the imagination. As far as I can tell, the only reason for posting it is that it demonstrates anger. Unfortunately, it is Tea Party-style anger directed at all the wrong places, using buzz words that sometimes sound good but totally miss the central issue.

Keith, almost always gets it right because he understands what lies behind the facade. Keith understands why anger over something is warranted. Keith's special comment on the debt ceiling is spot on.

Robert Reich is also right on the money on this issue as are countless others.

This was a terrible deal that will before it is over cost hundreds of thousands, maybe tens of millions, of Americans their Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid. It was a terrible deal that was fought over on Tea Party turf using Tea Party lingo. The president never fought on progressive turf using reality-based lingo. The president never seriously tried to put the Tea Partiers on the defensive, and as a result squandered the political goldmine presented by Paul Ryan's budget plan to destroy Medicare. Now the president can be seen as on board with destroying Medicare. Ammunition lost. Election lost?

Check out Paul Harris' column on The Guardian at

http://www.guardian.co.uk/commentisfree/cifamerica/2011/aug/02/tea-party-debt-deal

Right now it's time to get even with wishy-washy Dems at primaries season instead of getting angry. It's time to do something real.

Mad as Hell and we're NOT going to take it anymore. Second Amendment solutions NOT on the table but keeping the phone lines to your congress people burning up, taking it to the polls in 2012 and DRIVING OUT those that have shown so clearly that they are lying, corrupt, greed driven, hate driven, power mongering hypocrites that do not deserve to live in a democracy, let alone SERVE this Nation should be kicked out and down the road to obscurity they go. Thank you Dandelion and Just for forwarding. I am not from america, but the world, needs a Just Peoples Government; not a warmonger, government, which has sold its people, and given away, a huge part of the country's wealth, to weapon manufacturers, citing 'war on terror', but in reality, filling the coffers of the elite few. What kind of government makes tax cuts for the rich; but skins the poor?

Please wake up, all you wonderful people of America,

I know all of you are very well of the 60's and 70's~ what was accomplished as a result of PEOPLE REALLY GETTING FED UP with the Viet Nam war. "WE THE PEOPLE" were relentless and NO MATTER WHAT HAPPENED didn't give up. The outrage gained momentum and became extremely organized as We the People WERE unified. WE had great passion and perservence. WE WERE HEARD. We gained such momentum that we changed the world~ in more ways than I am even aware of.
This reminds me of what the Tea*Party movement has accomplished. What scares me most now is that people are so crazy mad {we should be MAD~ MAD AS HE$$}~ that the unimformed listening to the BRAINWASHING and LIES will split the Dem vote, giving the repukes a Win...OR...get crazy enough they vote repuke. I fear that not enough people in the Country know who Bernie Sanders is. I even fear of people here WHO ARE BRILLIANT and well educated refusing to vote Obama. I've heard it far too many times. MANY MANY MANY people haven't a clue as to what this will mean as the brainwashing is a bit more than sublimal.

I recall that everyone was talking about "The Walk On Washington" a year or two back. Here on C2 there were many groups and much discussion. Greg H. has so much knowledge/so many contacts/so many leadership and ORGANIZEal experience that I believed he would lead us. WE WOULD make a GREAT DIFFERENCE. B.MutinyCorporationsEvil told me she was taking time off C2 as Facebook had 1000 times more orginazation and she preferred to help then. I believed! This certainly was the CHANGE I was looking forward too. I don't know why Gregory stepped down as I wasn't on the commite {a few of you were on} but in retrospect I believe he knew. {lip service} He knew that people were not going to show up because of this and that and.... I noticed EVERYONE supported this here on C2. I also noticed a GIANT percentage of excuses as to why most people couldn't attend. As a result this Country is now owned by ????, No one knows specifically. Big $$$ Corporation! WE DO KNOW "We the People" can't possibly have a chance if WE DON'T ORGANIZE AND UNIFY AND PROTEST. We have to be HEARD. We have to "BE THE CHANGE WE ARE LOOKING FOR". WE HAVE TO BE AS persistant as the Tea Party.

Oh, I forgot to mention how pi$$ed off that 'O' extended the Bush Tax cuts. I'm too exhausted to proofread and figure out WHERE it was intended to go.

iDON'T KNOW IF I AM TOTALLY OFF BASE HERE OR NOT. If so I appologize. It is only my opinion of course.
