Bruce Springsteen dedicated this song to the Firefighters who daily fight to save lives. This also is dedicated to the other First Responders who risked and gave their lives to save others. Also remembered are all the innocent lives in the WTC buildings.

Love and respect to the victims, their families, friends, co-workers. And to those whose lives have been changed, families torn apart, loved ones lost in the subsequent events, the aftermath that continues to this day.I pray everyone will live in this world peacefully with one another regardless of race,ethnicity,religion,etc... Peace one day...

Thank you for sharing the songs. This one brings tears to my eyes. Such brave people they are running to, and into, the danger that everyone else is running from.

well done. Only thing that sticks in my mind is the lack of regard for the first responders by bush for their stalwart efforts. Thanks D, for reminding us who really cares about the right thing.

9/11 Memorial Website

This news item and so many more shine the Light on those first responders, and the victims honored by their families. . .

58 cancers receive 9/11 fund coverage

THE INNOCENT WILL NEVER BE FORGOTTEN NOR THE BRAVE SOULS WHO TRIED TO SAVE THEM

IN OUR TIME . . . TEACHING OUR CHILDREN . . . THEIR LEGACY WILL LIVE ON . . . LOVE NEVER DIES

"We shall never forget
We shall keep this day,
We shall keep the events and the tears
In our minds, our memory and our hearts
and take them with us as we carry on."

Thank you Rosemary for the additional links. I'm glad they are helping the First Responders, finally, with medical care. But again, if we had Universal Health Care in this Country, these brave men and women would not have also had to endure the fight to have medical care.

What don't people realize about this in this Country, that medical care shouldn't be a luxury nor have to be fought for to be treated, like a humane Country should do.

Such wonderful comments by everyone - I wish I could do as well in tribute! Thanks for this Dandelion - the fate of those utter, utter heroes racing into danger to try and rescue those in peril regardless of race, creed or color always has me in tears.... It is unbearably disgusting that those who survived had to fight for medical treatment etc - just as those who fight wildfires in all parts of the world often have to today.
