Leonard is an innocent man who was framed because the FBI needed someone to blame. He is ill and has suffered enough. Please, Mr. President, grant Leonard executive clemency so he can live out his remaining years with his family.

It would be sweet if this president would free this man. I've seen a video on the incident before but will watch this one, too. It looks more personal than the one I've seen before. Thanks, Dandelion. Persistence like yours is what is needed to get these issues addressed. We've all got to hang in there and keep trying to do the right thing.

I truly hope that Leonard Peltier gets justice, a retrial is owed him! Watched the entire movie and am truly appalled by the questionable behavior on the part of the FBI. Normally am not a conspiracy believer, this case stinks to high heaven and a conspiracy seems to be the case in Peltier's situation.

S&N. Obama, knowing what it means to belong to a minority in the US, should lend an ear.

He should of had a retrial many many years ago Aurea and although I still want him out, no justice can ever be given this man who has spent most of his life behind bars based on Lies. Yes, someone was killed that day, it serves no justice to have a man there is questionable doubt serving time for those deaths. There was a native man killed that day and little effort has been given to find out who killed him.

The US Government has played a big hand in stirring up the violence that is on the Reservations and has put a self sufficient people into poverty and despair. Then the same Government keeps stirring the pot and when something goes wrong wants to remove it's hands from all of it and throw an Indian in as the sacrificial lamb. In this event and case it just happened to be Leonard Peltier.

He should Lona but I think he is too much an oreo just as the American Indians have their apples. I mean No disrespect a a people just a belief system from which they operate from.

I seem to have a problem and am getting some other broadcast so I can't hear the video. My kids think it may be a virus, so hopefully they can clear it up and I can watch later.

Dandelion, unfortunately many are falsely imprisoned everyday, sadly in most cases it is people of "color" black, brown, red, yellow. Rarely white folks wonder why? until yesterday thru a PBS documentary in honor of Native Americans code talkers did I find out that during world war 1 the military used the Cherokee and Choctaw as code talkers. The code talkers were never remunerated nor for them to share their knowledge with anyone. All the military did was to return the code talkers back to Oklahoma, Kansas etc..... So even our history books denies all the contributions Native Americans have made, besides obviously the USA. No I do not celebrate thanksgiving for all the obvious reasons. My daughter is part Choctaw and my grandson is part Choctaw and Cherokee. Cannot change what was, but know with knowledge I can demand justice for Leonard Peltier.

Thanks Dandelion. The situation on reservations like Pine Ridge seems to be the same one that plays out in poor nations where the PTB want control and resources: a corrupt puppet is payed off, armies of goons are used to control the population through extreme violence, and the people who resist and die are villified. And then throw in some good ol' racism.

Signed. Is there even still a political reason to keep Leonard Peltier locked up? Or just mindless continuation of brutal indefference.
