It is time to awaken a democracy that is accessible to all and is not beholden to big-money interests.

We call on Congress to support these pieces of legislation:

The Voting Rights Advancement Act, which would restore and increase protections against voting discrimination.

The Voter Empowerment Act, which would modernize voter registration and ensure equal access to voting for all.
The Democracy For All Amendment, which would overturn U.S. Supreme Court decisions like Citizens United and limit the undue influence of money in politics.

The Government By the People Act/Fair Elections Now Act, which would amplify small contributions from everyday Americans.

And we call on the U.S. Senate to fulfill its constitutional obligation to give proper consideration to a Supreme Court nominee, including timely hearings and a vote by the full Senate.

Signed for sure. Thanks for putting your heart into work for Bernie, too, Dandelion. He's the best hope for pushing to make this a true democracy. The US has never been very democratic although it had a good start through "equality for all." But since when has equality included slavery!! We can't deny that democracy was not a US asset. GO DANDELION, AND GO BERNIE SANDERS!

Thank you Caitlin....the "dream" of what the United States can or could be is what people want what they wish for. I believe the majority always want that, has wanted that, but there is every generation a group, call them what you want, the Elites, the Corporatists, the Plutocrats, the Oligarchy, the Greedy Heartless Ones, or the 1%.

It all boils down to the same thing, a few seize control and the many are left trying to figure it out. From those who first came to the USA, they could of worked "with" those who were already here, but no, within the Invaders there was already a heirarchy and that person(s) wasn't going to let it go. And why work with people if you can seize the power and do it the way you want and acquire more and more of whatever it is....land, goods, livestock, it just goes on. Nature of the beast I guess and even when the people are presented with a key.......many will not take it and open the door.

And with the slaves on whose labor made the few rich, those rich never acknowledged that of the slaves or if they did they certainly wasn't going to speak opening about it. So too will the Corporations work the masses for as little as possible that they can get away with and then toot their horns on how "they' made America great, forgetting it's the millions who go to thankless jobs each day for crumbs that has always made this Country what it is for the "few" to live better.

This is why we need to keep a Democrat in office. Because, it will never happen if the Rethuglicons win, especially with the Blonde Hairball.

Thanks LuvUBernie G..,
One thing I noted after the primaries closed was just how close so many states were. Clinton won most of those primaries by the "skin of her teeth." I'm sure she never expected that. Those wins were not the victories she envisioned...peace.
