Groups like Operation Save America and Operation Rescue use intimidation tactics to scare away women from exercising their right to obtain abortion care. They also aim to drive out of business those clinics that provide the full range of reproductive health services. These groups encourage a climate of harassment and violence against abortion providers and patients

Anti-choice activists are total hypocrites. They may be sincere in their concern for the unborn, but they could not possibly care less about those who are already here. The politicians who support ridiculous restrictions on abortion tend to be the ones who are against birth control and sex education, as well as the ones who want to shutter Planned Parenthood clinics and thus deny poor women health care, including prenatal care. Anti-choice activists are the very definition of zealots, people who redouble their efforts when they have entirely forgotten their aim. They act blindly and out of ignorant folly.

Sorry Bev, somehow I missed this one. I'm not a champion of abortion, I think it's far better to use good, safe birth control, but my opinion is only applicable for me. Each woman must have an absolute unhindered right to decide for herself. It's her body, her life and no one can or will walk in her shoes. All of this anti-abortion rhetoric is a political dalliance with women's rights.

I am really sick of this squalling against abortion. Squall as they will, NO ONE has the right to tell a woman what she can and cannot do in this case. Humans--some humans--think they are so precious to the world that they can't STAND the idea of abortion. It isn't true. Humans overpopulate and are living disasters to the environment and to wildlife. They poison and pollute, rape and kill. The ones who maintain a modicum of common sense do not do these things. Further, if you don't believe in abortion, that's your business. If you do, then THAT'S your business, and everyone else can keep quiet. Anti-fanatics are unbelievably stupid.

noted and signed - it is every woman's decision as to what they do to their body - some may not agree but again I wonder what they would do if the shoe was on the other foot.....

Signed and noted. Funny how the conservative right cares so much about fetuses but they don't give a damn about the child after it has been born. It doesn't matter if a child grows up unwanted or abused. Those good Christian conservatives will tell that child, "You must take personal responsibility."
