How do people dump animals, leave them behind without feeling guilty. How does a person sleep at night knowing that out there is an animal that needs food and shelter and warmth and attention. I just can not figure it out how it is done so easily.

I saw this before today and is is just incomprehensible - it just reinforces for me the belief that mankind is anything but...I have sent this out-though I am a cat person-this breaks my heart...and some of the fostering groups in the area here in Minnesota are looking at getting involved in this...This woman is remarkable!

Deborah is doing such a wonderful job and will be blessed definitely. I also can't think how someone can just dump an innocent creature like that and think they can survive. Wouldn't it be easier and more humane to then rather drop them at the nearest shelter? People who do that to animals should just die on the spot! They don't deserve to live! And those dog fighters should be shot on sight! How they can make money from that is beyond my comprehension. Makes you wonder about humans these days...or can we call evil people like that human?

What a remarkable woman, if only the word was filled with her kind.
In Adelaide Australia, for years people were dumping cats at an areA called West Beach. These animals have thrived due to the care of people who have made it their task in life to feed them, get them immunised and microchipped. The task is never ending as more are dumped. Recenty it made the news. Local residents were complaining of meowing and the cats comming into their property. The local council was to remove the cats who lived among the rocks on the beach and euthanise them. Well, they couldn't because the cats were microchipped and the law prevents this.
The case is ongoing, the cats for some reason are mainly black and magnificent as they are fed daily by an army of volunteers. They have also become a TOURIST ATTRACTION, just like the cats at the Colluseum in Rome Italy. There are goOd people in the world who are prepared to go the extra mile for all those without a voice. MORE POWER TO THEM

At least someone has a heart. I just don't understand how people can do stuff like dumping the family pet or hurting an innocent animal and not have the heart to know it's wrong. Thanks Natalie!

My heart goes out to Deborah and her woofs. The longer I'm at Care2 the more I despise people who don't give a hoot about animals. If mankind thinks he/she is at the 'top' of creation I would think again. We are managing to destroy our planet - no non-human animal is capable of such gross negligence. And we defend our right to destroy this planet and all the animals on it down to the last dollar! Uuuuggghhhhhh

Natalie, thank you for doing this story on Deborah. I just did one a day ago on "The Corridor Diaries" which Deborah wrote describing the dogs trapped in this hell on earth place. I also posted an update from her that I received Monday. She also has a fundable that was posted in the comments by me to the story. She originally set it for $600 and it has exceeded that but I am asking people to continue to contribute. I just don't understand why she is not receiving more help from residents. The dog-fighting aspect of this is horrific enough with dead dogs being thrown out like trash with their throats ripped out. Then there are all the others that are just dumped. Scared, starving, pregnant, covered in wounds and sores. Surely, we can figure out something more to do to help. Eureka has made some suggestions. I have to go to work soon and will not be home till later this evening but depending on what I find out, I may come back and post. Thank you again for trying to help Deborah. She sure needs it.

One thing I think we should do it write an email to the reporter Bill Stamps who covered this story and thank him for helping her to get the word out. Gotta run.

that woman is a hero...and those evil people who dump animals there should be left at the dump to starve and fight for scraps also...

This situation is so sad...the article said that there are animals as well as people who live in this place...having been without a home myself and living in my car with my two dogs I know first hand the sadness of having no where to go...society has a way of just throwning people and animals away...I love this woman for doing her part...if we could all do just a little imagine the changes we could accomplish...may God bless them all!

The scumbags who do this should be the ones in the trash bags because they are the trash. What a wonderful thing this woman is doing. She is an angel. Noted with thanks Natalie.

It's so wonderful to know there are kind people out there trying to help these abandoned dogs. I am wondering where is the support from the town? Where is the support from the ASPCA or similar organization? They need to be fixed so they have pupplies in all this suffering. Petsmart has a program to help by providing food and supplies, although she may need to be registered as a charity first. Since everyone seems to know this is where the dog fighters dump their victims, why haven't the police set up surveillance and made arrests? They could set up cameras to record activity to be used in a court.

Hats off to this wonderful woman!!! As for the XXXXXXXXX who are dumping dogs out there - I wish we could all put a curse on them or have them in a room with us for just 5 minutes. I think that a person who would do this to a trusting and loving animal - really does have a black soul. We know which direction they're going in at the end!!!

I've seen similar situations in my country, in fact, all my pets were abandoned, mostly in the dumps. They gave me the most beautiful times of my life.
Yes, Jossie, she is an angel and deserves all our support

Yes, Linda I thought of the camera idea too but I don't know how large the area is and how many different ways to get in there without being detected.
