People won't put up with tyrants if they can see that they are tyrants, and ridicule is the best way for people to be able to take in the fact that the Neocons are tyrants.

IMPORTANT: Do Not Write Down Anything About This Website's Secret Plan To Rule The World "I would urge you not to put on paper anything relating to any of the work that you are doing...[unless] you know the recipient well enough to put at the top of the page 'PLEASE DESTROY AFTER READING.'

This organization has been criticized for its relationships with dictators, including Brazilian dictator Marshal Artur da Costa e Silva, General Suharto of Indonesia, Salvadoran general Carlos Eugenios Vides Casanova, Honduran general Gustavo Alvarez Martinez [4], Siad Barre in Somalia [2]. More recently, Congress members of the "Family" have voted texts in favor of Jean-Claude Duvalier in Haiti [2] and of Park Chung-hee in South Korea [2].

In the 1930s, Vereide also recruited the antisemitic Merwin K. Hart, labelled by the FBI as a supporter of the US fascist movement [2]. Following World War II, Vereide visited prisoners camps in Germany, and recruited several former Nazis, such as the Gestapo's head in America, Ulrich von Geinath [2], Dr. Otto Fricke [2], a radio propaganda specialist of Joseph Goebbels' service [2], or Hermann J. Abs, "Hitler's banker" [2].

Vereide's principal collaborator in France was Edmond Michelet, five-time minister under President Charles de Gaulle [2].

Fellowship members have been active in reconciliation efforts between the warring leaders of The Democratic Republic of the Congo and Rwanda.

The organization has operated under other names, including: National Committee for Christian Leadership, International Christian Leadership, the National Leadership Council, Fellowship House, the National Fellowship Council.[4]

I respectfully disagree that "ridicule is the best way" for anything. Satire is an important tool and should be used with discretion, but simple ridicule leads to defensiveness, and defensiveness leads to dogmatism. Perhaps, though, I am simply arguing semantics. I did enjoy the essay this article links to here about the triune brain. The techniques they refer to are called neuro-linquistic programming (NLP), and they are extremely powerful psychological tools with applications from psychotherapy to politics and advertising. There is more on the biology of the triune brain here for those who are interested, and a great article on NLP on Wikipedia

.. and as I also say,.. George Bush, and your loser "crew"

- give it up,.. it's over.

- the grass is greener on the other side,.. our side,.. the light side.

.. come on over.

It is true Repubicans are conservatives. It is not true conservatives are Republicans. We oppose Socialism and Fascism. We oppose the Iraq war, the tax subsidies for fossil fuel, the Department of Homeland Security.

Examine the public support McCain has and you will see that many conservatives do not support him. The Democratic Party is running a battle airing commercials showing John McCain saying 'one hudred years in Irsq.'

What can you do? Help us out by supporting Alan Keyes and Ron Paul. Congressman Paul opposes the war in Iraq.

And I agree Nora ridicule is not always the best way. Good information as found in that related news below all the other stuff works just as well, but it is less fun. :)

Satire is a powerful tool, against those who would seek to rule us badly. When I look at the most authoritarian regimes, they have the shared characteristic of outlawing, the pointed jokes aimed at them by their mockers.
A joke can encapsulate,a truth about it's target, that few manifesto's can acheive.Bill Hicks mockery of Dan Quayle, with his hand over the nuclear button,is so scary and yet captures the essence of it's target beautifully.
Hicks savage mockery returns to my mind automatically ,when I hear Quayle being discussed. Not ,that many people,in the US let alone the UK ,discuss Dan Quayle these days.
Plus, the charge of being humourless, is regularly directed at left wingers. This seems to be an attempt to label liberalism /feminism/worthy causeism unattractive. We aren't humourless. In fact there are many more leftfield comedians than come from stale, staid conservativism.
We all need a break from total seriousness too..as human beings.
The history of resistance to our elites, is rich with humour,it sustains us,and keeps us going through the hard times.
How can anyone look at Bush,Blair,O Reilly,Limbaugh etc without wanting to let loose a tide of humour.Yes they are dangerous figures, but with humour we reduce them' to the tiny little men they really are.Such figures aren't to be feared, and can be reduced, and overcome, and humour points the way.
The fact that these self important figures, can tell such whoppers, and expect us to beleive them,is hilarious. The fact that they, can themselves, keep a straight face, while talking such sanctomonious bull, makes them look fools anyway. Humour also shows our disrespect, for them..and what is there to respect ?
If we get go along with the idea that certain figures should never be joked about, then we give them undeserved status. The British royal family ,inheritors of vast ,public funded ,and unearnt wealth,were/are an example.
To my mind, there have never been people, less deserving of protection from public lampooning,as these silly aristocrats.
Many people ,in the UK revere the royals so much ,that they would unquestioiningly deny, the right of anyone, to about them. This was part and parcel of the idea of deference, whereby the peasants would look up to high born people, regardless of worth.Support for this outdated institution, declines as people joke about the royals.
Bill O Rielly ha ha ha..I can't stop now.

I do see that you post tons of good news though. Getting the info out there is the whole idea, so if others post the same article, that is a good thing.

...aren't 'they' though?[ridiculous]...Thanks for posting JohnMichael

Laurie T., I agree with JohnMichael, if I post an article, and see someone else has also posted the same article, that's a GOOD THING. That IS the idea, isn't it?-- For as many people to read that all-important news item, NOT for, WHO will get the 'credit'.
