The US Department of Agriculture (USDA) has prepared a draft environmental assessment (EA) of genetically modified sugar beets, including an option to permit planting of the beets under certain conditions.

What I want is for them to do is rule that they rip every single one of them up and burn them.

My only problem with sugar beets is I have never believed the sugar produced from them was of the same quality as that derived from sugar cane. Pure cane sugar just plain tastes better.
