Numerous recent studies link the CCD (Colony Collapse Disorder) of honeybees to the use of certain Neonicotinoid pesticides (e.g. imidacloprid, clothianidin, thiamethoxam). Population of honeybee colonies has been dropping at an alarming rate since 2006

Noted, signed, twittered and google shared. Not only will we be a much poorer country without our bees, we will also be a much hungrier country as bees are vastly important to the pollination of most crops and flowers. Thanks Kathy.

Very glad to see this here. I read about it in the NY Times, a while ago, and as sad as the history of Colony collapse Disease is, it would be wonderful if this were a /the major contributing factor, AND we took care of it.
Early European settlers in North America literally brought bee hives here, in order to farm. I have read.

Gladly signed. Bayer, the major producer of neonicotinoids, has no right to wipe out honeybees and consequently destroy our food supply! Their executives should be charged with crimes against nature! Thanks, Kathy!
