The EU appears set to impose a two-year ban on the use of insecticides blamed for a sharp and worrying decline in bee populations, an EU source said Thursday.

I so hope the ban happens and the US should follow suit, but I won't hold my breath.

I saw a documentary on the problems the EU is having regarding this issue. I applaud them for stepped up to protect the bees before its too late.

Yes Gloria a worldwide ban would indeed be better!

Please keep in mind this is only a two year ban, which isn't nearly enough, because it has built up in the soil and will take longer than to years to go away. So keep signing petitions, let's get this stuff banned permanently!
