Passed covertly on a Friday....And that lyin' double talking witch that let it go through the first time...OOPS House of Appropriations Chair Mikulski...has made the same "mistake" again....after saying it would have to be reversed now. NOPE! And Harry Reid rolls over as he usually does 98% of the time. Time to throw these louses to the curb. If you can't do your job, get out! Fight or get out of the way.

And you're not alone, Roseann... What a worthless bunch of nothing good Congress is. But to quote Elizabeth Warren, "if we don't fight, we can't win". So bring on the war...

Sadly noted. Who needs foreign terrorists to bring down our country, when we have Congress to do that!

Agreed. Who needs to fight Syria when we have Chemical Weapons from Monsanto and the Fracking Industry here at home and we're forcing/bullying it on other counties..Fight all enemies foreign, domestic...and multi-national...that should include the TransPacific Partnership and TransAtlantic too.

Thank you dearest Kathy! This angers me beyond words, so I'll just say I have sent EVERYONE a star as I agree with each word. It's always sneaky, backdoor POWER. It pisses me off too Roseann knowing this was/is Censored and Blacked Out. What a find Kathy...as HORRIBLE AS IT IS. I agree with you Terry. Monsanto is a DISEASE worse than the black plague and every dis-ease throughout history...combined. I guess I had to comment as I just came straight from my organic farm...

Sometimes I despair when crap like this happens, but here you all are angry as I am. I've sent Mikulski a message. Do I expect to hear from her? No. But I do feel better now. I hope that more of you send her a message.

Yes, they are all out for their own gain at our expense.

Bill Moyer's recent interview with Mark Leibovich, author of This Town:
http://billmoyers.com/episode/full-show-mark-leibovich-on-americas-gilded-capital/

It's all about using the machinery of Washington and the regulations they write to reward the companies who are paying them.

Are we all terminally pissed-off now? Can we not impeach every member of this dysfunctional House of Representatives?

I hope everyone here gave their Rep. an earful when this rider went through on the Spending Bill this spring: it's time for another blast, I think.

I'm sure this Monsanto Protection rider would be ruled unconstitutional by the Supreme Court if challenged (see the Beyond Pesticides article (main link) for the reasons why), but a lot of irreparable damage to our agricultural system would have been done by the time the case was heard.

**sigh**

When government can no longer serve our best interests, it's time to clean house. Vulture capitalism is proving to be the worst ISM of them all.

It's not capitalism, but crony-capitalism/fascism (business "facilitated" or conducted by government), which is completely different from free market capitalism in which no companies get favors. Monopolies come about through government involvement. Companies like Monsanto would have to respond to consumer wants/needs or die a quick death if there were no government leveraging behind them.
