Some folks believe that it's okay to hate vegans. As a result, vegans are goaded and called annoying and even accused of smelling like incense.

The joke sure is on them! They'll all be dead or hanging on to dear life in a hospital somewhere hooked up to tubes & helplessly watching loved ones crying over them & the rest of us will be enjoying life the way it was meant to be enjoyed......healthy, vibrant & non-violent!!

It seems it is ok to hate and malign non-vegans but not the other way around?!? I think much of it is because some vegans are so militant about their views, and try to force non-vegans to comply. I have been told several times from vegan militants that I hate animals even if I am a vegetarian, because I am NOT A VEGAN! This does nothing to promote the Vegan lifestyle, but places an wedge in any possible understanding that could take place. Some people can not be vegan because of health issues. These folks should not be treated like second class citizens by vegans because of this fact. A little bit of compassion from both sides would be a good start, no one will want to join a group or subscribe to a lifestyle of people whom they think hate them and are trying to force them into vegan-ism through intimidation or guilt. It is a lifestyle, such as the Christian lifestyle. We all hate when pushy Christians try to impose their beliefs on us through intimidation or guilt. Why is it different for vegans?!? It does make "outsiders" run in the opposite direction, and perceive "vegans" as a dangerous extremists who should be avoided like the "Jehovah's Witnesses" knocking at the door.

Litha, not until Oct. 17th.

I used to a eat strict vegan diet. In my experience it is the vegans who are the most judgmental, not us lowly "corpse-Munchers", but I guess that's just my own personal experience, and not that of the rest of you.

Do people really 'make fun' of you for having a vegan diet?

Sorry in advance for anyone offended by my own perspective.

Jeez, yeah, that's what I'm talking about. Not exactly very nice or positive. My grandfather lived to 93, and he ate meat and dairy, not to mention smoked and drank.

I don't hate anyone seriously hatred eats you alive it s not a good thing to hate. I was just responding to the article. They said that people laughed at vegans and thought they smelled like insencense Say what. They think we are weird and are all hippies. I have always been different so its nothing new to me. Has nothing to do with hate Sir Walk. Each to his own but unfortunately billions of innocent creatures are suffering from somes apathy that is the truth and you know it!!

Thank you all vegans and vegetarians......:):):)

Anyone WHO IS INVOLVED IN any and all FORMS OF ANIMAL CRUELTY should not wonder WHY their life is going "downhill" and becoming unmanageable, the reason is because of Y-OUR treatment of the Animals. YOU must stop or your life is going to get a whole lot 'worse", NOW. You have been forewarned, YOU must and WILL accept the consequences of your actions x10 against the GREAT Animal Kingdom and yourselves. AND so it is done......thank you, AMEN

If you look right into the eye of ANY animal , it is part of GOD you are seeing, please start acting accordingly or not.:):):)

The time when "I" start concentrating on Animal Cruelty alone is soon, it would be wise to consider this....... I AM very , very , very passionate about this, the fallout will be felt EVERYwhere. Thank you for your consideration. WE ARE ALL ONE.

Not long ago I viewed a film called the "Slaughter House" where they showed cows, pigs and sheep being shinned ALIVE and their skins being pulled away from their bodies and over their heads as their bodies dripped blood from every folicle of their body, their hooves being cut off while they were still ALIVE, their tails being cut off while they were still ALIVE, speers being driven thru their necks leaving them ALIVE, their bellies being cut wide open as they cut their baby calfs from out of their bellies leaving them to die a SLOW painful death long drawn out death all in the name of putting meat on OUR tables and it infuriated me and made me cry at the inhumane way that mankind treats animals all in the name of putting food on our plates and I decided that there had to be a different way. There has to be a WAY to put food on OUR plates without allowing these precious animals to suffer these cruel deaths. WHAT I witnessed was truely Animal cruelity to the fullest extent and that Company should be held liable and every person that took part in the treatment of those animals should be held accountable for their part. The Government NEEDS to Hold these Slaughter houses accountable for their treatment of these animals and make them modify how they are treated...in the meantime I can do my part in NOT TAKING PART of adding to one of the lives of these DEFENCELESS animals being SNUFFED out by changing the way that I eat. So....I made the CHOICE, for ME - - - to go Vegen. Now to date, I have lots of Medical Issues but I have been attempting to do the Vegen diet for the last 30 days and my iron has gone up ( I needed that as I have Lupus) and my cholesterol has gone way down (thank God) and it seems like my acid reflux has gotten better and I have found some pretty good receipts also. It hasn't been too much of a change although I have missed having a steak or two- but it hasn't killed me...and considering all in all that there is a life that's being brutally mutuliated just so I can have a steak or hamburger or whatever...it isn't worth it with my conscious - - -so, I'll just try my best to try tro remain VEGEN! I have to live with ME!

I enjoy hot dogs & hamburgers but I respect all choices that people make.Don't judge me or call me an animal hater because it's not true.Vegans have their right but so do I. We shouldn't be name calling & wishing ill on anyone.
