To be perfectly honest; I am sceptical about all these petitions.
Here's one example why:
Earlier this year a petition on this matter (from Avaaz.Org) was sent to UN:s secretary general Ban Ki-Moon.
The petition had more than 700,000 signatures! Yes, more than SEVEN HUNDRED THOUSAND!!!
What happened?
-The answer is: NOTHING, NADA, ZIP.
Well, the assholes in the Burmese junta did exactly what we all expected; after a month or two they released some 200 political prisoners. Just like many times before.
In fact United Nations haven't done anything that I know of since 1962. (47 years!)
That makes me kind of frustrated, if you know what I mean?

Ben, some go get the job done and some are just paper but I just can't sit here and watch the world go to hell in a hand basket and do nothing. I have a real faith that we are making a difference everyday, Clicking like crazy.
It is called mass reality.... the more who belive the more real it becomes. The change is happening but like all real and peaceful change it takes time, Have faith and keep on clicking my friend.
