I don't use botox for younger looking skin. My smile is usually a silly grin that comes to me from within...the natural way. Thnx Daphna, interesting post.

From my perspective as a school teacher, I can tell you that my genuine smiles make our classroom a more positive and productive space. Our kiddos are suffering anxieties that my generation in our 1960s-70s teen years couldn't imagine. While my students' parents are bringing home frustrations with debt and unemployment and fear for their futures, I can try to create a small safe and welcoming space.

What a great attitude, Nancy. ( I LOVE schoolteachers, btw ... maybe because my daughter is one. ;)

IMO, whether to smile or even laugh at some ludicrous things said or done these days is a CHOICE. No kidding!

When it comes to comments by a certain Person-who-was-once-in-power-politically-and-misses-it-all-and-is-now-relegated-to-merely-making-absurd-charges, laughing AND smiling at this "person's" absurdities are the best things to do.

(and that goes for this "person's" doddering daughter, too! ;)
