This is the last of three post today about the Dia de los Muertos. So very different from Halloween but then again it is Hallos eve. Celebrate life, remember your loved ones, honor them.

What a wonderful attitiude towards death and the dead. It is a huge part of life and should be discussed much more. It should be celebrated not feared.
Thank you so much for this Daphna!

this is one of my favorite holidays.
Not just for hertiage sake.
It allows me to reflect upon not only my ancestors but helps me to feel closer to those that I lost over the years,as though they had never left.
Thanxs for posting this.

Thank you Daphna, something like this is almost impossible in this country.
We (the family) all sepaerate as we grow up. We live in Washington, A sister in Florida, one in Montana, one in W.Virginia, son in New York. We can only say our prayers in our heart of our loved ones gone in those other states.

Here in San Diego California there is a little place by downtown called Old Town, it is a Mexican village. It has all kinds of different celebration activities, food games shops especially around this time of year. it's made fun and entertaining for adults and children.
And yes death is not a sorrow for them it is a celebration..

Thank you for the story Daphna
