Yeah, this really puzzles me. I thought and still feel Obama's character is well above that of Bush's, but yet he's still carrying out a few Bushism subpar ways, ie: rendition, blindly follow Israel and this.

Transparency of an American's government was what was agreed on, and by golly, that is what he and we should get.

We all need to remeber the Gates is not the only one, Obama and the DOJ are fighting just as hard to protect the Bush/Cheney adminsitations from truely meaningful criminal investigations and prosecutions.

I remember candidate Barack Hussein Obama running as 'open office' - he would let the public know what is going on. Now, one year later, we have President Obama.

For the record, I left the Republican Party in 2006 to run for office in another party, and am glad Senator McCain did not get elected. I wanted to see the winner (we had thirteen tickets on the ballot in Florida) take down the Bush cabinet.
