This is a tough one for me so I didn't sign. I'm not sure that as they say 'selective logging in an old growth forest is ecologically detrimental and changes that forest forever'. Selective logging just means taking one tree here and there throughout a section of forest. It seems to be no worse than if lightning felled the trees.
But of course it depends on HOW MANY trees are selectively logged.
I also am not quick to condemn FSC (forest standards certification) as a horrible thing.
There is such a thing as being practical. If you cannot for some reason protect all the old growth forests left on earth from not a single tree in them being cut, minimal selective logging sure is better than clearcutting or massive cutting.
Haven't decided myself yet so no sign.
