Racism is a serious problem in America. Fueled by immigration fears, the economic crisis and the election of a black president, racist hate groups increased their numbers again in 2008. The Southern Poverty Law Center has documented a staggering 926 hate

Gladly signed! There was a hot discussion on this topic last month. You might be interested to read many of your fellow Care2 members who don't believe we have a problem of racism and far right-wing incitement to violence. Truly a sad state of affairs in this country. Thanks Daphna for bringing this issue to light!

You know I could almost sign, but there seems to be something missing... O' yea, once again Gays,LGBT, get left out of the 'fight the hate' message. Could it possibly have anything to do with religious beliefs of those who ARE considered deserving of being included, for example the percentage of those included groups that voted for Prop 8, in California, to strip civil rights from LGBT persons and deny them the same equal rights they have and want protected. It comes down to me personally having second and third thoughts about watching the backs, from attacks by the same groups that will and do attack me and other LGBT, of those that have already shown not only their unwillingness to watch my back but their willingness to attack my and other LGBTs rights to the same rights and equal protection under the laws and Constitution of the United States of America that they enjoy, regardless of the hate. When your actions catch up to your words about equality, community and fighting hate and you can be trusted any more the 'fierce LGBT advocate' that is currently in the White House, until then leave a message at the tone and I will get back to you, when and if in this life time, I am an full and equal citizen of the US.

Thannxxxx... the whole world is a melting pot of racism... that is why there are wars.. driven by unnecessary fears, selfishness and intolerance for one another... I think educating people regarding the different race groups should start at school, and the biblical principle.. love one another as I have loved you..
