This is not new news. There were plenty of small articles soon after the election about how the programmer of many of the voting machines had stated that he was going to make sure that "if he had anything to do with it Bush would be elected". Doesn't anyone remember how so many of those machines in Ohio were counting votes for Kerry as votes for Bush?! And how in predominately democratic areas, especially in minority & low income areas there were so few voting machines that people were waiting in line for 10 hours to vote but in wealthy republican areas there were no waiting at all, etc.?! This was a big issue. Those machines were rigged to elect Bush. (I noticed how little the general public seemed to be paying attention to any of this, as if everyone was sleep walking just prior to and for months after the election.) In Ca. our democratic reps were making a big fuss about it right after the "election" but within a number of weeks they mysteriously just shut up about it...hmmm. There was a nice big article about all of it in the Sacramento News & Review. "Navy Mom" is just brainwashed from the military -cuz that's what the military does!...duh! "Karen w" & anyone else who finds this at all surprising you really should rent the movie "V For Vendetta" -This film has a very strong message for all of us. It demonstrates in a dramatic fashion what is happening right under our ignorant noses, our government is duping us & we are just letting it happen because we are too naive, too comfortable & thus lazy & too much in ignorant denial to realize it. We're the toad who is sitting in the pan of water, it is slowly coming to a boil but we don't realize it so we just keep sitting in itas we gradually boil to death. We all need to open our eyes & face the ugly truth. Yes, this is the best country to live in in the world but also this country has a lot of problems that need to be addressed. Freedom is NOT FREE! We have to take personal responsibility for maintaining it or we WILL lose it! Our governments should fear us not the other way around. Their purpose is to serve us but that's changed & in several ways they are now taking advantage of their positions & abusing the power we've given them. That is not how it is suppose to be in the USA. We must take back that power & demand that they do right by us. So wake up, sit up & take notice of what's happening all around you & get involved or else we'll eventually find ourselves very screwed.

Take the above link and spread it around; email to all your friends, co workers and news media.

Eventually the truth will come out. Pressure from people like us is what it will take to make it happen.

I have forwarded this to all local and national news media, but no response. They need lots of pressure to do anything counter to Bush and his cronies, because they own the media, and the media owners are mostly Republicans.

Also forward to all liberal news networks and have them assist in spreading the word.

This is another piece of the puzzle...if we don't WAKE_UP, we're going to be living in Amerika with Emperor Dubya calling the shots...this is Our country...we're going to take it back!!...go to www.blackboxvoting.org to find the FACTS...and there are plenty of them...that demonstrate that 2000-2002-2004 elections were fixed by the Voting Machine Companies...Diebold, ES&S, Sequoia all played a roll...Diebold and ES&S played a sinister roll in stealing the votes of millions of Americans...your vote is the most valuable priviledge you have...Protect it!!!

I pretty much agree with what Rhonda said - except I don't profess to know anything about the military - and I haven't seen V is for Vendetta yet. However, I do remember seeing plenty of articles in the newspapers about how there was something rotten with the 2000 presidential election. Then, all of a sudden, everybody shut up - and Gore suddenly backed down and handed the presidency over to Bush. The whole thing was right there under our noses and up in our faces, and yet the people involved were allowed to get away with it. Doesn't anybody ever wonder what the h*** really happened???

Now here we are 6 years later...and look at what a mess we have...

...And what's up with all the bad blood between Democrats and Republicans, Liberals and Conservatives??? It seems like, as the years go by, it just keeps getting worse. Doesn't it occur to anybody that we are becoming an extremely bipolar country??? I don't think that's a good thing. Our country is horribly out of balance. I think there are those in POWER positions (not necessarily political positions) who are doing whatever they can to not only ensure this split continues, but to ensure it becomes even more pronounced - so they can use this increasing bipolar split to their advantage. It's a divide and conquer strategy. Ultimately, this is not a Democrat-Republican, Liberal-Conservative issue - that's the red herring that keeps us all preoccupied - this is an issue over the BALANCE of POWER and FREEDOM in our country.
