The list is the result of three years' research and writing about Guantánamo, which began with my book The Guantánamo Files: The Stories of the 774 Detainees in America's Illegal Prison (published by Pluto Press), and has continued with over 300 articles

I'm going to investigate this resource at some point, in small bits. I cannot help but think it will make my heart sick.

I have a very strong suspicion I would react
to this book exactly as I did to "The Gulag
Archipelago" and "Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee":
Like those two, I'm sure this one is a horrible
story excellently well-written, and very hard
to get thru.
btw, I did not finish reading the two books I
mentioned above. I just got to a point where
"I'd had all I could stands, I could stands no more".

Eleanor, thank you, my dear friend.

I totally understand, Tim. I am just the same. I am glad the books are there but they are too heartrending to finish. I can't stand the suffering. I admire the people who can write them and set down in history what has happened.

Another heartbreaker. As you say, it is good that the books are written for history, for the truth. Thanks, Eleanor.

Looks like a must read if only to detail all that have suffered at the hands of this despicable concentration camp with its unacceptable record of torture and humiliation. We will never stop our struggle till every last one is back with their families.

Republican Senator James Inhofe: The ‘Middle Eastern mentality’ is ‘worse’ than Nazism. ....., Inhofe discussed the issue on the G. Gordon Liddy Show, saying the U.S. needs to “keep the Gitmo open.”
