Hopelessly Trapped Critter Seems to Enlist the Help of Hikers

One of them carefully removes object and sets animal free/ While the rescuers probably saved the critter from suffocating or starving to death, this was a human-caused problem that occurs all too frequently. There is a video to view ....

Thanks guys for noting... I noticed this is posted in other areas of care2 now.

I think this is a happy story but also note the story so maybe people will think more about litter.

The six pack sodas and beers we do recycle the plastic but they need to be cut into pieces. Birds,etc... get their heads and mouths stuck in the holes and slits. REMEMBER people to cut them up definitely. This is a pet peeve for me. If you note the article or comment in the other area then people will see it more.

A very happy story though :) That little fox knew what he/she was doing. I'm so glad people helped.

A happy story. I did take the time to read a few of the comments after the story and some of them were appalling.

Glad the fox was able to overcome her fear of humans long enough to get the jar pulled off her head.
Noticed she didn't wait around after she was freed, but took off.
Don't know why people have to be so careless and inconsiderate of their trash.

Oh shame, the poor little fox - so glad someone stopped to help because the majority of them just look the other way!
