Astronomers have announced the discovery of 32 new planets orbiting distant stars, bringing the list of known exoplanets up to more than 400. The batch of freshly discovered worlds include four that are only five or six times the mass of Earth.

Planets were found around a surprising variety of star types.
I like this story! Thanks Katie!

We are searching for a new planet to stay on because we are destroying mother earth.

That is so cool! I've believed in lots of exoplanets since I first got interested in astronomy as a child. This gives the lie to all those nay-sayers of the 1980's!

The Green Bank equation, devised by United States astrophysicist F.D. Drake, represents an attempt to estimate the number of technically advanced civilizations in the Milky Way galaxy. It expresses mathematically the relationship of the number of stars, the number of stars with planetary systems, the number of planets in each system having conditions suitable for the origin of life, the number of planets on which life could actually develop, the number of those planets on which intelligent life could evolve, the number of intelligent populations that could develop civilizations capable of interstellar communications, and, finally, the average lifespan of technical civilizations. Depending on how estimates for various terms in the equation are made, the number of advanced civilizations in the Milky Way is estimated at from 1 to 1,000,000.

"Mother Earth" wants us to colonise new worlds and expand the area that life can prosper in. It is our duty to explore new worlds and take life with us when we visit!

Would truly like to know if any of these could be used like Earth? We have SO distroyed this World, maybe the Lord is giving Mankind another planet to move to!

Thanks again.

Now I wonder what the horoscopes will say to this... a whole new world of stars just waiting out there to be discovered.
