Loggerheads in Danger: 2009 Nesting Data Shows Alarming Decrease

Oceana announced yesterday that 2009 was one of the worst years on record for loggerhead sea turtle nesting from North Carolina to Florida. In Florida for example, loggerhead nesting decreased by more than 15 percent in 2009.

The focus is obviously not on "PRESERVING" and "PROTECTING" the turtles.

More people means more room needed to exist and wildlife are always the species that suffers. If the Government would stop listening to to wealthy and stick to the policy of "NO YOU CAN'T DEVELOP IN THIS AREA" wildlife would have a chance to survive on its own.

Brad - and let's not foget all the encouragement for humans to continue irresponsible breeding. That's the other problem: too many demanding humans (lots that shouldn't be here!).
