The possibility that climate change might simply be a natural variation like others that have occurred throughout geologic time is dimming, according to evidence in a Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences paper published October 19.

"The UB researchers and their international colleagues were able to pinpoint that dramatic changes began occurring in unprecedented ways after the midpoint of the twentieth century."

The "dramatic changes" were in the number of insects....and they forgot all about DDT which was used by the US Military working on the DEW line. The Arctic summer is a nightmare of mosquitoes, black fly and midges and soldiers used DDT like water in the 1950s.

No matter who you are or where you go, the laws of physics apply. We've cut down most of the trees and overpopulated the planet with people and then, on top of the imbalance created there, we've been pumping millions of tons of CO2 into the atmosphere.
No matter how many selfish people try to deny climate change and the damage we're doing, the facts remain the facts. If some people don't care about future generations, they can wallow in their selfishness and fear of change but many of us are responsible enough and mature enough to care and to make some small sacrifices for the future! We can face facts and we can change for the better!!
